My favourite option of breakfast!

Amélie Labrie - Jan. 30, 2024, 1:09 a.m.

Delicious and so easy to make

Sara Casaer - Dec. 5, 2023, 7:18 p.m.

Delicious 😋

Priscila Pereira - Oct. 25, 2023, 7:37 p.m.

Had this for breakfast and it was delicious. I cut the quantity of oats to 1/4 cup per serving kept all the same…and it turned out perfect for my taste.

PUL Team - Oct. 26, 2023, 12:05 a.m.

Thanks for sharing your experience with the overnight oats, Priscila, we're glad it was enjoyed!

Erin Bergeron - June 27, 2023, 2:08 a.m.

This has been one of my go to PUL breakfast for a long time. It’s super easy to make and always tasty. Sometimes I will use chocolate almond milk for fun.

PUL Team - June 27, 2023, 4:44 a.m.

Oooh chocolate almond milk sounds like a tasty twist, Erin, thank you 🤎

Jin - March 15, 2023, 4:21 p.m.

I’ve tried it and it was delicious

Lisa - March 1, 2023, 3:52 p.m.

Hi Sadia or anyone else reading this comment :) can you tell me how big the glasses are that you are using for your overnight oats? I want to buy some pretty ones, but am unsure how many ml I should go for... Would 250ml be fine? THANKS!!

PUL Team - March 1, 2023, 10:22 p.m.

Hey Lisa! Our mason jars tend to be around 450 grams or 2 cups (500 mL) worth. We personally prefer these over the 250 mL ones for overnight oats since they have more room for toppings and such 🙂

Kisha - Feb. 26, 2023, 3:30 a.m.

Absolutely delicious

Katharina - Feb. 10, 2023, 11:44 a.m.

Thank you so much for your quick and easy to follow recipes. I often try and come back to your recipes and simply enjoy them. And so I recently started to change up my boyfriend's lunch box by regularly including your versions for overnight oats. He loves it for several reasons: it's delicious, filling without sitting heavily in his stomach and gives him enough energy throughout his job. His favorite version - currently - is this peanut butter jelly one. :)

PUL Team - Feb. 10, 2023, 9:38 p.m.

Hey Katharina, awe we're so happy to hear the overnight oats are being enjoyed. This peanut butter jelly one is also one of our favourites 🤗

Martunia - Jan. 25, 2023, 8:48 p.m.

This is my absolute favorite overnight oats recipe in the whole wide world! Last year I caught myself preparing it every single night for a month straight and ever since I have the ingredients and proportions in my head. I just like to add an extra drop of maple syrup for some sweetness. Thank you, PUL, for another banger!

PUL Team - Jan. 26, 2023, 6:14 a.m.

Woohoo! Beyond happy to hear the overnight oats are being enjoyed, Martunia ☺️

Sudhanva - Nov. 15, 2022, 12:15 p.m.

This was incredible! No wonder it converted Sadia. This turned out to be my first overnight oats recipe as well. But how do you make something good, better? Chocolate. I tried out a chocolate flavoured peanut butter (I assume putting some cocoa/cacao powder into the recipe would accomplish the same thing) with this recipe, and it was lush and decadent (but still healthy). Top tip. Also, belated congrats on the marriage Sadia and Robin! Friggen' love your channel and you guys <3

PUL Team - Nov. 15, 2022, 2:56 p.m.

Oh, Sudhanva, that sounds delicious 😍 So glad it was enjoyed and thank you for the very kind words! It means so much 💛

Lee - Aug. 29, 2022, 1:43 p.m.

At first I made it with Tahini because I did not have Peanut Butter at home (what a shame!) but now I have some and tried it again and it was sooooo gooooooood! I'm a huge fan of this recipe and I also addet a homemade jam layer on top.
Thank you for creating all of those great recipes and spending so much effort to make this website! Love this!

PUL Team - Aug. 30, 2022, 3:28 a.m.

Hey there, Lee, awe we're so thrilled the recipe was enjoyed with the substitution! Homemade jam sounds lovely. Sending a big hug to Germany 🤗

Orlanne - Aug. 9, 2022, 10:10 p.m.

I really enjoyed the recipe but I needed to add a bit more milk as I used the end of my peanut butter (which was thicker). But tasted nice!

PUL Team - Aug. 10, 2022, 1:55 p.m.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with it, Orlanne 🙂

Dylan - June 25, 2022, 4:04 p.m.

Would the proportion of oats - liquid stay the same if I wanted to change the serving size? For example would 1/3 cup oats go with 1/3 cup soy milk? I know that they Chia Seeds are a binder (or flaxseeds for other recipes) and wondered how I could correctly modify the amount of chia seeds for a 1/3 cup oats/soy milk or 3/4 cup oats/soy milk serving.

Also, I was wondering what you might recommend for adding protein powders. Would you add them as a topping or soak them with the oats and liquid? I imagine that more liquid should be added if I were to add a protein powder though wondered what you might recommend for this.

Love the channel and have slowly been improving my overnight oats game. Thanks for all the recipes and the work here. Cheers.

PUL Team - June 27, 2022, 12:34 a.m.

Hi there, Dylan, thanks for the very kind words and question! We typically aim for around 1 part rolled oats to 1 part plant milk and 1/8 part of chia seeds. For example, 1/3 cup oats with 1/3 cup plant milk and 2 tsp chia seeds. You can totally deviate from this though based on your preferences and how liquidy you like your overnight oats.

As for adding protein powder, we'd recommend adding it along with the other ingredients to the mason jar. You will indeed likely need more liquid. Sometimes the package might give a recommendation but you could start always start with less and add more based on your preferences. Kindly note the flavour of the protein powder will also impact the taste of this one 🙂

Leora - June 13, 2022, 12:25 p.m.

This peanut butter and jelly oatmeal is so yummy! It does need more liquid though. I added 1/2 cup of water and it was perfect!

PUL Team - June 16, 2022, 1:41 a.m.

Hey Leora, thanks for the review! We personally prefer our overnight oats less runny but more liquid is a lovely idea if needed 🙂

Dylan - June 25, 2022, 4:05 p.m.

I have been experimenting with this as well. I think I like them a little runnier. I was not sure if they get too runny if they lose some nutritional value but I was not sure about this.

Pardis - June 10, 2022, 9:19 a.m.

My boyfriend and I's usual couple breakfast !

Anantika - Feb. 7, 2022, 6:03 p.m.

I love how you've mentioned every point thay a person could think of, even mentioned ingredients that we can swap. It shows how much time you take in creating and putting down these recipes for us. I have a lot of respect for your work, great job.🍪

PUL Team - Feb. 8, 2022, 10:39 p.m.

Just wonderful. Thank you for the great receipes and ideas

Akash - Nov. 24, 2021, 2:53 p.m.

Can we swap the old-fashioned oats with steel-cut oats for this recipe? Thanks!

PUL Team - Nov. 24, 2021, 9:04 p.m.

Hello, Akash, thanks for the question! Steel-cut oats are quite different from rolled oats as they aren't pre-cooked and have more fibre. They're better suited for things like porridge (such as in this recipe: pickuplimes.com/recipe/classi…). Due to this, we wouldn't advise using steel-cut oats in this one. Perhaps it's one to try when rolled oats are more accessible 😊

Akash - Nov. 25, 2021, 5:23 a.m.

Thanks for replying. I love your channel!

Serena - Nov. 17, 2021, 6:06 a.m.

These were my first successful overnight oats and I'm in love!
I made them with gluten free oats, pea milk, and topped with cashew vanilla yogurt and they turned out great! Such an easy way to pack a lot of good for you foods into a comforting meal! Also, as someone who works swing shifts it's really nice being able to prep these ahead of time and just grab them on the way out the door. Thank you so much!!

PUL Team - Nov. 17, 2021, 3:59 p.m.

Mmm sounds so lovely, Serena, we're so happy the overnight oats were enjoyed 😃

Taiwanese Papaya - Aug. 20, 2021, 6:47 a.m.

Overnight oats rule! Its so easy to make! I spent most of my life skipping breakfast which was really unhealthy for me. This really helped me begin my mornings right. Thank you PUL Team!

Djurdjica Despotovic - July 31, 2021, 9:32 p.m.

Aleksandra Jonczak - July 30, 2021, 2:20 a.m.

I eat this one every week, it's so simple, yet do delicious! In fact, I had it for breakfast today....and yesterday too! Love it!

Deboleena - July 25, 2021, 6:44 p.m.

This one is a regular in our household! Now that it's summer again, we've switched from the usual 'classic comforting oatmeal' to this with fresh berries to start our mornings. A minor note: The directions are missing cinnamon in the list of things to add to the mason jar and mix.

PUL Team - July 27, 2021, 5:34 p.m.

So glad you're enjoying the recipe, Deboleena, and thank you for pointing out the missing cinnamon! The recipe has been updated 😊

Margje - July 22, 2021, 10:58 p.m.

I always have some sort of oats recipe for breakfast and this one I use pretty often! I usually make this with strawberry jam instead of the fresh of frozen berries. It adds a little bit more sweetness and it's more convenient for me :)

PUL Team - July 24, 2021, 2:24 a.m.

Ooo love this idea, Margje, thanks for sharing!

Catherine - July 12, 2021, 3:31 a.m.

I usually have a peanut butter and jelly sandwich after work. These are great to start the day with the perfect amount of sweetness…especially with the raspberries! Such a great recipe!

Sarah I. - July 10, 2021, 2:22 a.m.

Out of all your recipes, this is the one we make the most at our home!! Daily basically ☺️ Love it so much I could have it multiple times a day!! Thank you so much, Sadia!

PUL Team - July 15, 2021, 5:14 a.m.

We're so grateful for the amazing feedback, Sarah, thank you!

Kiren - July 1, 2021, 5 a.m.

My niece introduced me to your website. Bery well done and I enjoy watching your videos. I loved the almond overnight oats and am going to try this recipe tonight.

From VanCity!

PUL Team - July 1, 2021, 7:24 p.m.

Oo we're so grateful to have you in our PUL family! We hope you enjoy the recipe, Kiren 🤩

Cris S - June 5, 2021, 5:01 p.m.

This was good with a little less peanut butter!

Rohith Prem R - May 19, 2021, 5:56 p.m.

I tried the almond and chocolate overnight oats. And that was my first ever overnight oats. Seriously loved it. Hence I'm back here for another recipe. Gonna try this one.

PUL Team - May 22, 2021, 8:45 p.m.

So incredible to hear, Rohith Prem R! We hope you love this one too 😃

Nori - May 11, 2021, 8:34 a.m.

Simply tasty and I love it! I crumbled a piece of speculoos since I don't have peanuts - the crunch is definitely a plus!

PUL Team - May 12, 2021, 4:30 a.m.

Such a lovely idea to add crunch, Nori! Thank you 😃

lpb - March 24, 2021, 8:25 p.m.

So delish! Thick, creamy, juicy fruit throughout... I wouldn’t forego the peanuts on top - adds a lovely saltiness and crunch. These oats were made all the more enjoyable because my sweet brother made them for me :)

PUL Team - April 2, 2021, 6:15 a.m.

Thank you for sharing! You and your brother are too kind 🥰

lpb - March 24, 2021, 7:57 p.m.

My sweet brother made this for me and it was thoroughly enjoyed come morning time. Highly recommend adding peanuts as a topping.

PUL Team - April 2, 2021, 4:29 a.m.

Aww how nice of your brother! We love adding peanuts as a topping too 🤤

Nadia - March 22, 2021, 9:03 a.m.

I loved it. It's creamy and delicious. The berries go so well with peanut butter! (I wasn't sure about this combination. In Poland we don't use a lot peanut butter nor we eat PB & J sandwich so this was a new one to me). I definitely recommend that one for overnight oats amateurs :)

PUL Team - March 31, 2021, 2:05 p.m.

So glad you enjoyed it, Nadia! Thanks for sharing! 😃

Mar - March 22, 2021, 9:01 a.m.

So quick to make and tastes so good. Love it!!

PUL Team - March 31, 2021, 5:30 a.m.

Woohoo! Thanks, Mar 🥰

Louise Magnusson🇸🇪 - March 22, 2021, 8:46 a.m.

Tasty basic breakfast! I like to thaw the frozen berries in the fridge before making this overnight oat, as the flavours of the sweet berries become evenly distributed.
Banana as a topping works very well with peanut butter and jelly combo 😋

PUL Team - March 30, 2021, 11:05 p.m.

Love the idea of thawing frozen berries! Thank you, Louise :D
