    banana, sliced
  • ½ cup (62 g)
    fresh raspberries
  • ¼ cup (30 g)

Optional add-ons


  1. Add all of the pudding ingredients in a bowl or mason jar. Stir and let sit for 8 minutes. Then stir again to prevent clumping. Cover and chill in the fridge overnight.
  2. Stir well before adding the toppings, and enjoy!


  • Store in an airtight container or mason jar in the fridge for up to 3 days.
  • Mix in the fruit and toppings the day you're going to enjoy the pudding.

A staple in the breakfast rotation! I added honey and made the “Healthiest Ever Granola” recipe for the granola!!! Would highly recommended this nourishing breakfast- especially if you have a sweet tooth like me!!!!

Love love love! The berries are a must for the acid/tartness. I added hemp seeds for some extra protein and nuttiness. Will definitely make again.

This is such a great breakfast! I chuck everything in a glass as I'm cooking in the evening and then it's ready to go the next day. It's super tasty and feels a bit like a dessert for breakfast without being overly sweet. I like that everything can be kept in my cupboard too!

Question-is the cocoa powder unsweetened? Also can I use oat milk ?

Hey Andrea, we use unsweetened Dutch-processed cocoa powder, but it's naturally sweeter in flavour and dissolves more easily in liquid than general cocoa powder, which is more bitter. Feel free to use either. You can use oat milk as well 🤗

I have very early starts on days I have students to teach. I tend to survive in coffee and water until lunch on these days - not the best I know. I decided to try making an overnight breakfast recipe to help entice myself to actually eat. It was very good, and went great with my coffee! So great to have it already made so I could just open and go. 👍👍

Hey Sarah, this is an old comment and you may never see this, but here's a pro-tip if you dislike the texture of chia seeds - throw the whole mix in the blender in the morning and blend it up. You end up with all the nutrition of chia pudding with a silky smooth texture. I started doing this when babysitting my niece since she was picky and I didn't want to just give her junky instant pudding all the time and it worked out beautifully. She thought she was getting a special dessert and I was happy she was eating something that wouldn't just cause a sugar crash :)

This was my first time trying chia pudding and it was so simple to make and I really enjoyed the consistency / texture. It was a great healthy snack. I would definitely give it at least five hours to chill and do it’s thing before eating. I tried a spoonful at two hours and it was more of a liquid drink than a pudding at that point. The one thing I didn’t love about this recipe was the taste. I was expecting a chocolate taste, but it just tastes like cocoa powder. I hadn’t realized there was such a significant difference until I researched it while eating my pudding. I’ll try this again in the future with my own twist to give it more of a chocolatey experience.

Indeed chocolate and cocoa powder tend to taste a bit different from each other. Topping the chia pudding with some chocolate shavings is one idea if desired. You're welcome to experiment though, and do let us know if you come up with any fun adjustments 😃 To help the chia pudding solidify in the fridge, we'd recommend giving it a really good stir after it sits for 5-10 minutes. Adding more chia seeds or less liquid initially can also help 😊

Most chia pudding recipes online call for 3 tbsp of chia seeds to 1/2 cup milk ratio but your version with 1 cup milk is just so much better. It gives the pudding such a smooth and unclumped (is that a word?) texture. Love the addition of dates as a sweetener and the fun toppings. You're a true artist!

I am making 2 servings as I type to eat for the rest of the week with my raspberries! Not sure what my granola sub will be (because I don't want to make granola today) but will def add coconut flakes and bittersweet chocolate chips! Looking forward to it!

Amazing. I used to get my recipes from so many different places but over time i realized that nobody makes better food than PUL. I only get my recipes from here now. Honestly you should consider some sort of subscription service or something. I suspect many people would pay monthly to get access to your newest recipes. Hey Jenny, the maple syrup helps give the pudding a delicious sweetness. Feel free to omit it or use another syrup, fruit (mashed banana or more dried fruit may work well), or sweetener of choice if desired 😊
