Directions

  1. To a blender, add all smoothie ingredients, except for the dates, and blend until smooth.
  2. Add the dates and blend briefly so that some chunks remain to add some texture (or blend it in completely if desired).
  3. Serve in a glass or bowl and top with granola, goji berries and hemp seeds.

Notes

Hi Sadia! I just bought a blender over a week ago to make smoothies and I'm on a mission to make all of yours, 9 and counting! This is so extremely delicious is going to be on my rotation :) I omitted the vanilla and used cashews instead of the hazelnut butter and it was still so super delicious. Thanks so much for sharing these recipes with us!

Delish!! Didn't have hazelnuts or hazelnut butter in the house, so used peanut butter and it was great anyway. I don't have a blender however, so I used my new food processor and now my kitchen is a chocolatey mess LOL. Worth it!!

We are big fans of this smoothie and I make it pretty regularly. 😊 I have now made it with roasted hazelnuts, cashew butter, almond butter and peanut butter and they all taste great! Love the combination of the frozen banana, cocoa and nut butter for extra flavour and to thicken it. We will continue to come back to this recipe again and again! 🙌🏻

Wow, what a treat for a chocolate lover! It was really creamy and not too sweet despite the banana and dates😋
Very “sophisticated” with the pinch of salt and cinnamon. Although this smoothie might be more dessert-like, I ate it for breakfast with PUL granola and mashed strawberries. Delicious!!!
