Yum!! The only thing I’ll change next time is to make a double batch 😜
Lovely recipe, it was very smooth and rich 😍
This is a great recipe!! The small chunks of date add a lot of flavor. Great healthy dessert 😋
I use an over ripe pear instead of the dates (one serving). Very good!
I made 1 serving of this for breakfast this morning. I subbed almond butter instead of the hazelnut butter since I didn’t have any hazelnut butter on hand. I also reduced the soy milk from 3/4cup to 1/2cup to make it thicker for a smoothie bowl. I topped with chia seeds, raspberries, and a crumbled up coconut cream larabar. It was delicious! It was especially good with the raspberries to cut the sweetness. Plus, chocolate and raspberry is just an amazing flavour combo. Next time I might add only 1 date to make it a little less sweet. Thanks for the amazing recipe! 😊
This sounds yummy and I might give it a go! Can I use regular dates instead of medjool dates? Medjool dates are pretty expensive where I live!
Hi Sadia! I just bought a blender over a week ago to make smoothies and I'm on a mission to make all of yours, 9 and counting! This is so extremely delicious is going to be on my rotation :) I omitted the vanilla and used cashews instead of the hazelnut butter and it was still so super delicious. Thanks so much for sharing these recipes with us!
I had this for breakfast this morning with almond butter for a sub & I couldn't believe how delish it was. On my way to the store to grab some fresh ingredients to make about 3 more recipes from this place, appreciate your help on my path of restoring my relationship with food as healthy as possible. Many blessings to you and yours <3
Delicious. Loved the hemp seed topping
Delish!! Didn't have hazelnuts or hazelnut butter in the house, so used peanut butter and it was great anyway. I don't have a blender however, so I used my new food processor and now my kitchen is a chocolatey mess LOL. Worth it!!
We are big fans of this smoothie and I make it pretty regularly. 😊 I have now made it with roasted hazelnuts, cashew butter, almond butter and peanut butter and they all taste great! Love the combination of the frozen banana, cocoa and nut butter for extra flavour and to thicken it. We will continue to come back to this recipe again and again! 🙌🏻
Wow, what a treat for a chocolate lover! It was really creamy and not too sweet despite the banana and dates😋
Very “sophisticated” with the pinch of salt and cinnamon. Although this smoothie might be more dessert-like, I ate it for breakfast with PUL granola and mashed strawberries. Delicious!!!
