  • 2½ cups (600 mL)
    unsweetened soy milk
  • ½ cup (65 g)
    raw cashews
  • 4
    Medjool dates, pits removed
  • 2 Tbsp (30 mL)
    peanut butter
  • ¼ cup (60 mL)
    brewed espresso
  • 1 tsp (5 mL)
  • ¼ tsp
    ground cinnamon

  1. Add all of the ingredients together to a high-speed blender. Blend until smooth.
  2. Pour into a saucepan on medium-high heat and stir continuously to prevent burning until heated through. If you prefer a thinner consistency, add some more plant milk.
  3. Pour into your favourite mugs, add maple syrup if desired for more sweetness, and enjoy!

  • Nutrition tip: aim to use plant-based milk that is fortified with calcium.

  • Best to enjoy this immediately.

Yum! Perfect for our cold rainy cozy mornings!

This is the first recipe I tried from the app and I was so excited! It was delicious—rich and creamy. I used almond milk, instant decaf coffee powder and fewer dates to make it lower sugar. I added a pinch of sea salt at the end for more of a salted caramel flavour.

So happy that you enjoyed the first recipe you tried on the app, Akila! A lovely idea to add a pinch of salt 🫶

This latte is now my favourite, move over vanilla latte. So creamy and delicious.

Kushla - July 9, 2023, 2:46 p.m.

Lovely! I was a little shy of the measurement for cashews but maybe because I only had hemp milk it was still thick and creamy.

I made this with almonds and cow's milk (I'm not vegan) and omitted the coffee. IT was so good, I don't think I can have regular hot chocolate again. I also used vanilla paste in lieu of vanilla extract as I didn't have any. My blender didn't chop all the almonds but it was still so good! Thank you for your magic creations!

This is one of my favourite fancy lattes! Also, a year or so ago I went through a brief period of really struggling with breakfast (it was stress/grief related and I was managing it with a therapist). This latte was an easy and delicious way to trick my body into having something with a bit of nutrients in the morning before I got myself into my day and could manage something more substantial (which was often PuL granola 😆)

We're so glad you were able to get support, Babs, and are so honoured the latte is one of your favourites! It means so much 💚

This was exactly what I needed this morning! Used almond milk and almond butter. For less cleanup, I let my Vitamix do the warming. Thank you for such a scrumptious recipe! Love everything about your content and blog!

PUL Team - Nov. 4, 2021, 2:59 a.m.

Mmm thanks for sharing your experience with this one, Jamie, the kind words are so appreciated 😃

Love all the drinks in the video but this is such a yummy, creamy treat! Drinking this latte on my little bench in the garden in the Autumn sunshine - life is good! 🙏

PUL Team - Oct. 15, 2021, 1:15 a.m.

Ooo sounds like such a relaxing bench, Agatha! So happy the latte was enjoyed 😃

Very good! My second favorit after the chokolate-type one ^^

Georgiana - July 30, 2021, 2:47 p.m.

Comforting and yummy for cold days!

Kelly - July 22, 2021, 6:42 p.m.

Super delicious and decadent. This comes out super thick, which makes me think of it as more like a hot smoothie than a latte. But other than that, this is great for a treat.

Georgiana - July 30, 2021, 2:46 p.m.

I guess you can try to add less cashews maybe it turns out less thick. I will actually try like this next time and let you know.

Katherine Broberg - July 9, 2021, 7:43 p.m.

Delicious! I use maple syrup instead of dates to keep it smooth since I don’t have a powerful blender.

Julie - July 8, 2021, 8:41 p.m.

This was delicious! I made the espresso with a Moka pot and used almond milk instead of soy. I will be making this again!

Inessa - May 13, 2021, 11:59 p.m.
