Frequently asked questions
Can I make a London fog drink with oat milk?
You bet! Any plant-based milk works in this recipe. For best results, use a milk with a creamy texture, like oat or cashew milk for richness and flavour.
Do lattes with Earl Grey tea contain caffeine?
Yes, Earl Grey tea is made up of black tea leaves. For a caffeine-free twist, use decaffeinated Earl Grey or an alternative herbal tea.
How do I make a London Fog recipe taste stronger? What about milder?
For a bolder flavour, let the tea steep for an additional 1-2 minutes before straining. On the other hand, for a milder flavour, skip covering the tea and letting the drink steep.

It is so comforting and yummy☺️
I would like the cinnamon and vanilla to come through a bit more, which I struggled with on my first try despite following the recipe. I might consider leaving the whole spices in the beverage overnight before simmering or use ground cinnamon
Fabulous
Delicious! It has that same strong flavor several spices (ginger + cinnamon + cardamom pods + star anise + …) usually give. I couldn’t believe the flavor with this one. Yum!!
This was the perfect comforting wind down drink at the end of a long day !
This was so good and exactly what I needed during studying. Great recipe Thanks 🙏
Absolutely scrumptious!
I don't usually drink tea but this was so delicious and comforting! I can't wait to make it to my tea-enthusiast friend; I am sure she will love it as much -if not more- as I do!
10/10 would recommend! Tastes like Christmas in a cup and so warm and cosy on a rainy day! Loved it!!

Just perfect at a stormy autumn day :)
Rich and delicious! My new favorite way to make tea.
Delicious! I had this over ice; it was perfect!
So quick and delicious! It really cuts down on the craving for a coffee shop.
Quite good but the Earl Grey taste is quite strong. I'll try it with regular black tea next time.
you have no idea how many times this drink has saved me from going out and buying a london fog! pick up limes is really out here supporting your budgeting goals LOL
I’d never heard of a London Fog drink until I tried the PUL recipe. And so now whenever I take a break from coffee and flat whites I always make London Fog lattes. I am English and love tea.

Delicious
This really was so easy to make and the taste was as good as any London Fog at the coffee
Shops. I know it’s warm these days but I needed something warm after a long travel and this hit the spot. Thank you, Pick Up Limes!
After a rainy day, I did some meal prep in the evening. When I was done, my kids and husband were asleep. There was a big fat book waiting for me to start reading. So I decided to try this London fog and it was absolutely perfect for the situation, curled up on the couch with a book while it rained outside. The caffeine kept me awake though and I slept fairly late. Although it could've been the books fault. I'll have to try it again with rooibos tonight. You know, for science.
So delicious! I used my favorite creamy oat milk instead of soy. Perfect for this snowy day here in Japan. I will definitely make this again..
I’ve been wanting to try a London Fog for some time, so it was such a pleasant surprise to find that they were so simple to make! It was super comforting - I’ll definitely use this recipe again!
I’m team coffee, but I can die for that tea! Thank you ❤️
Simple and calming. Love it with Earl Grey Rooibos to avoid late night caffeine!
Tried this recipe a few years ago and it quickly became my favourite! Delicious, feels like a hug in a mug ;)
I'm a die-hard coffee drinker. Tea is nice but doesn't comfort my soul. That being said, London Fogs are cozy rainy days, fuzzy blankets, and a good novel all wrapped up in a finger-warming mug of joy. A perfect afternoon pick me up. This is such a good recipe.
Very soothing and comforting on a rainy afternoon :) Not the biggest fan of Earl Grey so I usually use a plain black tea !
My husband’s favorite of your cozy drinks. He’ll make it for himself at least once a week.
Love this one right here! I was living under a rock before just drinking earl grey tea with honey NEVER AGAIN! It's London Fog from here on out!
Seriously delicious. And so easy to make, too!
