This is our classic and standard recipe for making a delicious chia pudding. The thick texture of chia pudding also makes it perfect for layering ingredients into a parfait using your favourite granola, yogurt, and fruit.

Chia pudding

  • 1 cup (240 mL)
    unsweetened soy milk
  • 3 Tbsp (32 g)
  • 1 Tbsp (15 mL)
    maple syrup (optional)
  • ⅛ tsp
    ground cinnamon (optional)

Directions

  1. In a large cup or mason jar, mix together the milk, chia seeds, maple syrup, vanilla, and cinnamon. Then let it sit to rest for 10 minutes before giving it another stir to redistribute the settled seeds.
  2. Cover and refrigerate for 2 hours (or overnight) to allow the chia seeds to gel.
  3. When ready to serve, give it one more stir before topping with stewed berries, plant-based yogurt, granola, fresh fruit, or other toppings of your choice. Enjoy!
