Such a delicious smoothie! We ran out of tahini so I substituted it for peanut butter which was super yummy as well. Unfortunately, the PB flavor was quite strong which meant that in the end, the smoothie tasted more like peanut butter than salted caramel. I will definetely give this recipe another try with tahini!

PUL Team - Sept. 21, 2021, 2:47 a.m.

Thanks for sharing, Clare! We hope you enjoy the recipe if you're able to give it a try with tahini 🙂

Shan - Sept. 3, 2021, 6:11 p.m.

I made this smoothie where I was unmotivated to start my day but instead eating this made my day. Even my parents loved it, I look forward to making more yummy sweet and healthy smoothies. Thank you so much for this recipe. 💗

PUL Team - Sept. 4, 2021, 1:37 a.m.

So kind of you to make it for your parents! We're so glad you enjoyed the recipe, Shan 🌻

Lisa 🇩🇪 - Aug. 29, 2021, 9:25 a.m.

I completely lost my love for smoothies over the last months because I was just trying to make them more and more healthy and sacrificed the flavor for that. Your videos, especially this smoothie, made me fall in love again. Thank you so much ♡

PUL Team - Aug. 29, 2021, 9:44 p.m.

Aw, Lisa, thank you for sharing part of your journey with food. We're so grateful to hear you enjoyed the smoothie 💚

Mia (Romania 🇷🇴) - Aug. 20, 2021, 9:23 a.m.

I feel like Alice descovering wonders on your YouTube channel and your site. It's unbelievable.

Yesterday morning I made this recipe. It's mind-blowing - delicious and nourishing. I've never considered smoothies as a breakfast dish but they are so gooood. It became a habit making one for several times, then step to another. I couldn't say I've got a favourite one. I've discovered the joy to play mixing ingredients, combining new flavors or reconsidering old ones (like mangoes, tahini, dates).

I'm so glad I discovered (met) you, lovely people! 🤗

PUL Team - Aug. 23, 2021, 9:20 p.m.

Aww you're too kind, Mia, this truly means so much! We're so grateful to have you here 🥰

Louise Magnusson🇸🇪 - Aug. 14, 2021, 9:15 a.m.

OMG, what an amazing idea! I’m so surprised about the buttery caramel flavour that you’ve achieved. I guess it’s a combination of the “burnt”/bitter tahini, cinnamon, and banana. So creamy and not too sweet at all: not being sparse with the sea salt is the key👌🏻
I really recommend to try this smoothie with PUL chocolate, fig & hazelnut granola. It’s such an amazing match, especially if dark (70 % minimum) chocolate chips are used🤤
To tell you the truth, I made the granola in advance just so I could try the smoothie😅

PUL Team - Aug. 14, 2021, 5:59 p.m.

Hi Louise! We're so thrilled you enjoyed the recipe and granola 😃 Thank you for sharing your experience with this one 🌻

Archana - July 27, 2021, 5:39 a.m.

I made this today for a dessert smoothie. It was amazing!!! A bit too sweet for my liking, but my husband enjoyed it! I also added some plain protein powder too. Thanks for this amazing recipe

PUL Team - July 28, 2021, 7:51 a.m.

Thanks for sharing your experience with the recipe, Archana :)

Liz - July 25, 2021, 10:08 p.m.

This has become my go-to smoothie when I've had a really bad or hard day! It always brightens my mood and makes me feel like I'm pampering myself a little. If my bananas are super ripe, I only need to use one date. Thank you for creating an only natural sugar but decadent treat!

PUL Team - July 27, 2021, 6:28 p.m.

Thank you for taking the time to share the review, Liz, so glad you're enjoying the smoothie!

Ana-Claudia - July 25, 2021, 2:04 p.m.

I am pregnant with about 3 weeks to go and I was reading about the benefits of dates and turned to this smoothie to quickly get my daily dates portion and it’s amazing 🤤 ..to mention I am not such a fan of dates, so I always want to cover their taste :)) You are my go to for cooking 😊 I am planning to prep some of your delicious healthy desserts to grab from the freezer for the hospital!

PUL Team - July 27, 2021, 1:39 a.m.

Amazing

Bokyung - July 20, 2021, 2:32 a.m.

My husband and I really liked this recipe. Because now I am taking birth control pill, I left flaxseeds out. Yet, it was still so so good. Thank you, Sadia and all the members of PUL team. Sending gratification from Korea😊

Lindsay 🇺🇸 - July 12, 2021, 9:41 p.m.

Best smoothie bowl ever!!!! I am trying to learn to like bananas, and this definitely helps! This is basically my weekend go-to breakfast now, topped with almond butter, cacao nibs, sliced strawberries, and hemp hearts. Even our 3-year-old likes it!

PUL Team - July 16, 2021, 1:25 a.m.

Mmm love the toppings, Lindsay, so glad your little one is enjoying it too 😃

Katherine Broberg - July 9, 2021, 7:33 p.m.

This smoothie is amazing. So creamy, rich, and satisfying--almost like a milkshake. My mom and I have been making this every day ever since you first released the recipe. Thank you, PUL!

Thank you for the support, Leah! We're so glad the smoothie has been enjoyed 😃

Stephanie - June 19, 2021, 4:35 p.m.

Another incredibly delicious recipe by PUL! I added the following toppings to my smoothie bowl: fresh blueberries, dried fruit & nut mix, cocoa nibs, & hemp hearts. Next time I'll add a little drizzled pb.. yummm. I've not once been disappointed by your recipes. And everything is so aesthetically pleasing and super easy to follow. Thank you so much!

PUL Team - June 21, 2021, 6:30 a.m.

Thank YOU, Stephanie - this review means so much. We love the toppings too 😍

liz - June 13, 2021, 2:13 a.m.

made this for breakfast this morning and was hella impressed at the flavor. i chopped up some Hu Chocolate and did the toasted sesame seeds as well. this felt decadently sweet, even split between my partner and i - so next time, i think we'd be fine with two dates instead of the three. but regardless, thanks all ! i loved trying out the tahini as well, its not a normal go-to for me.

PUL Team - June 13, 2021, 5:45 p.m.

We're delighted to hear you and your partner enjoyed the smoothie bowl, Liz, thank you for the review! Tahini is a fun one to experiment with 😍

Rachel - June 6, 2021, 10 p.m.

I just did it with almond butter instead of tahini and it's really good! Thank you :) !

A lovely substitution, Rachel, and so glad you enjoyed the recipe!

This is by far my favourite smoothie bowl recipe. I love anything that offers the salted caramel flavour. The fact that this is so easy to make, makes it even better! Thank you for the amazing recipe!!

One of the most delicious smoothie bowls ever, I tried two more and loved all 😍 Making them on repeat, also inspired me to create my own mango smoothie bowl!

Plant Girl - May 22, 2021, 5:34 p.m.

Truly felt like having a decadent dessert! So, so good. I'm amazed!

Cris S - May 17, 2021, 4:21 p.m.

This is my 2-year old's new favorite drink! I had to make two batches in a day! 😄 It's awesome how it tastes like caramel but with none of the sugar and the addition of cinnamon is fabulous! 😁

Evi - May 17, 2021, 8:02 a.m.

Hello, i would like to ask, how long can we keep the smoothie stored in the fridge? Making it in Vitamix i am using the 2 servings portions so that there is enough quantity to blend and i want to store the left one in the fridge.

PUL Team - May 19, 2021, 6:25 p.m.

Hi Evi, we would recommend halving the recipe as smoothies tend to separate and slowly brown when stored in the fridge. If you do want to store it though, we imagine it could last for up to 48 hours. Airtight glass jars work better than other cups usually and giving the smoothie a good shake before drinking would help 🙂

Avis - May 16, 2021, 7:55 a.m.

Sadia...let me say at first I was really skeptical about the ingredient mix...but boy I was wrong...I thoroughly enjoyed my breakfast and can't wait to try all the other recipes....Kudos to the team on the presentation as well of all meals shown

PUL Team - May 17, 2021, 4:04 a.m.

We appreciate this so much, Avis, and so happy you were pleasantly surprised 😃

Gabe - May 13, 2021, 4:04 p.m.

Awesome dessert smoothie, the salty caramel taste is great !

Alicia - May 12, 2021, 4:46 p.m.

I decided to try this with regular bananas and a bit of ice since I didn't have frozen bananas. The consistency was that of a smoothie which was delicious 😊. But how can I get a thicker consistency?

Thank you!

PUL Team - May 13, 2021, 5:10 a.m.

Hey Alicia! Using frozen banana (medium size at least) will definitely help thicken up the smoothie. Another idea could be to start with less plant-based milk and then slowly add more until you reach the desired thickness. So glad the recipe was enjoyed regardless 🙂

Dannie Crispin - May 10, 2021, 3:54 p.m.

I just did this and it's delicious! Had to change from tahini to almond butter but still tastes great, super wholesome! Thanks so much for sharing!

PUL Team - May 11, 2021, 5:08 a.m.

So glad you enjoyed the smoothie, Dannie 😃
