Love this as a mid morning snack! I make it to drinkable consistency than a bowl. It is not too sweet. Fresh mangoes will definitely add more sweetness than frozen ones. It reminds me of aamras/lassi I grew up drinking during summers in India💖🥭

PUL Team - March 29, 2024, 11:02 p.m.

Awe so glad that you enjoyed the smoothie, Pooja, and love the connection to the lassi 🥰

This has becone one of my go-to smoothies! Easy ingredients to come by, filling and of course tasty!

SusanB - Nov. 1, 2023, 11:28 a.m.

Delicious! I thoroughly enjoyed mine sprinkled with granola and a few choc chips😋

SCaff - Oct. 22, 2023, 3:59 a.m.

Fantastic. Not too sweet, had to use cashew milk unsweetened yogurt, no soy available. Added fresh berries on top. Had energy for hours. Even though I had to really work the blender to process the compacted cup of spinach. It was still cold. I enjoyed this so much and it nourished my body so well I’m dreaming of a vitamix. I noticed other posts lessened the load on their machines by adding more liquid but it was really enjoyable spooned thick from a bowl.

Thanks for sharing your experience with the smoothie, SCaff, we're so glad it was enjoyed!

Ma. GÉNIAUX - Aug. 28, 2023, 7:02 p.m.

Delicious 💚 are smoothies ok to prep in advance? Say evening for the next morning? Or will it loose vitamins / fibers? Thank you 😊

PUL Team - Aug. 31, 2023, 7:13 a.m.

Hey there, Ma, smoothies tend to separate and slowly brown when stored so we'd recommend storing the smoothie ingredients unblended and blending closer to enjoying if possible for the freshest result 😊

Alex 🌱 - Aug. 20, 2023, 7:08 p.m.

Love love love this smoothie, it’s a classic!

Jennifer Acosta - Aug. 18, 2023, 8:50 p.m.

Yum! Really tasty with some almond butter on top too!

Luci - Aug. 4, 2023, 6:37 p.m.

Simple and refreshing! Too little liquid for my blender, though, so I added more milk!

Shada Sinclair - Aug. 2, 2023, 6:31 p.m.

Yummy!!!! Love it! I added a tad bit of ginger and swapped out the flax seeds for chia seeds. Omg!!!! I’m so happy this app is in my life!!

Tania Allan - July 26, 2023, 2:47 p.m.

Okay made this as a smoothie bowl this time rather than drinkable smoothie. Made it as written and topped with some granola, strawberries, blackberries, blueberries, banana and goji berries. WOWZA! It is delicious! The smoothie base is perfect as it’s not overpowering and is a perfect base for all your toppings. Creamy and delicious.

PUL Team - July 27, 2023, 3:03 a.m.

Woohoo! So thrilled the mango spinach smoothie was enjoyed, Tania - it means so much 🤩

Jaimy - July 11, 2023, 9:08 a.m.

Definitely add a banana otherwise it tastes a lot like soy. I added agave syrup and protein powder for taste 🙈

Andreea - June 28, 2023, 10:25 a.m.

Hi, Saadia! I’m drinking from the smoothie right now and all I can say is this combination is DELICIOUUUUUS!! I also added half of banana per serving.

Thank you so much, hugs from Belgium!🤗❤️

PUL Team - June 29, 2023, 2:18 a.m.

Woohoo! Thanks a bunch, Andreea 🤗

Tania Allan - June 14, 2023, 1:16 p.m.

Made this one into a drinkable smoothie. Bumped the almond milk to about 1/2-3/4 cup. I also added about 1/4 of frozen banana to give it a bit more sweetness. I think as a smoothie bowl it would be good as written, but as a drinkable smoothie I just needed a little something extra. I think I may add ginger too next time! Yum!

PUL Team - June 14, 2023, 10:49 p.m.

Thank you for sharing your experience with the smoothie bowl, Tania 😊

Ash - Feb. 10, 2023, 2:49 a.m.

I love this with some extra protein powder, creamiest smoothie ever

Nawal - Oct. 16, 2022, 9:45 a.m.

I’m definitely trying out this smoothie bowl recipe I’ve tried a lot of your overnight oats recipes which were amazing. Also I wanted to know your thoughts on acai you haven’t made a video on that. A lot of the cafes in my area sell sweetened acai bowls and acai with guarana is it healthy or is it more of junk food. I was surprised to see on the box that it contains 21g carbohydrates in 100g serving so I’m guessing it’s filled with sugar I dunno I’m confused. Alls I know I’m addicted and crave it daily hopefully that’s not because of the sugar I’ve been trying to eat cleaner..

PUL Team - Oct. 16, 2022, 11:52 p.m.

Hi Nawal, acai is a delcious tropical fruit that offers natural sweetness and a variety of nutrients similar to other fruits. It is sometimes served sweetened with added sugars, such as in sweetened bowls or packaged products.

Here at PUL, we recommend whole food sources of sugar (such as those found naturally in fruit) above processed foods including added sugars or artificial sweeteners (such as a sweetened product), but this isn't to label either option as "good" or "bad". Instead, we can consider enjoying items in moderation rather than restrict or have either in excess. You can learn more about our philosophy in our guide to sugar if you haven't seen it already:… Working with a healthcare professional, such as a dietitian, can also be incredibly helpful for personalized advice 🙂

Hi Saadia,

I tried making this today and it was delicious on a hot summer day in Arizona. I did modify to the recipe a bit with the plant-based ingredients and I feel this is going to be a staple from now on. Thank you.

PUL Team - Aug. 23, 2022, 5:41 p.m.

Hey there, Caroline, it means so much - thank you! Hugs to Arizona 🤗

Matthieu - July 12, 2022, 3:39 a.m.

This was my first home made smoothie ever. I just did it now. It was delicious. I did only one serving and it wasn’t mixed perfectly. So with two serving it would catch/chop the ingredients a bit better (I use a Ninja). But it was 95% smooth. I used sweetened Greek yogurt and almond milk and it was delicious!

Thanks for the recipe.

PUL Team - July 13, 2022, 5:48 a.m.

We're so happy to hear the smoothie was enjoyed, Matthieu, thank you!

Paulina - June 11, 2022, 4:06 p.m.

Bleh I added much to much spinach and it is basically spinach yoghurt, becareful with that

PUL Team - June 15, 2022, 3:49 a.m.

Hey Paulina, oh no! Did you use the portion of fresh spinach provided by the recipe?

Joanne - June 10, 2022, 1:24 p.m.

I make this smoothie every week. Delicious breakfast. Just like eating a tropical ice cream for breakfast. Highly recommended!

PUL Team - June 13, 2022, 5:37 a.m.

Oh so lovely to hear, Joanne! We're glad it's being enjoyed :)

Katherine - June 5, 2022, 8:38 p.m.

heather noire - Aug. 14, 2021, 12:04 a.m.

This recipe looks so good and I love the photos you shared here :)

Justine - July 27, 2021, 6:04 p.m.

This is one of my go-to smoothies and a great afternoon snack. I have also used coconut water as the liquid base instead of almond milk and it is equally as good.

PUL Team - July 29, 2021, 2:10 a.m.

So glad you're enjoying the smoothie, Justine, thanks for sharing your experience with it!

Maha - July 25, 2021, 8:06 p.m.

Wonderful recipe and one that inspired me to a more smoothie-type breakfasts

Tiril - July 11, 2021, 1:47 p.m.

Perfect summer treat! And it makes getting some greens in to your diet a walk in the park, you can’t even taste it. Love the sweetness the mango adds to this smoothie recipe too.

Liz - July 9, 2021, 1:31 a.m.

I had my doubts about this smoothie recipe but it's now my go-to! I recommend anyone who's a fan of mangos to just try it out! I've also added bananas when I've had extra frozen ones lying around.

K - April 22, 2021, 9:28 a.m.

Pictures of bowls are a little misleading, one serving is a very small amount!

PUL Team - April 25, 2021, 1:38 a.m.

Thank you, K, for the feedback as it helps us improve and grow moving forward. If you watch the video for this recipe, you'll see that we used the same bowls as in the photos. Does it also seem too small there? In any case, we often find these smoothie bowls become much more filling based on the toppings added, such as granola, nuts, or fruit. We also have a new scaling feature at the top of the post, so you're always welcome to scale the recipe amount up in case you'd like a larger portion 😊 I hope this helps for now!

Louise Magnusson🇸🇪 - April 9, 2021, 8:53 a.m.

Nice, basic smoothie😁
The mango chunks give this smoothie a sweet and fresh feeling. It requires nevertheless toppings to be interesting and a complete meal

PUL Team - April 9, 2021, 11:19 p.m.

We appreciate the review, Louise! Toppings are definitely a wonderful addition :D

H - April 3, 2021, 4:39 a.m.

Loved this recipe! The spinach was not noticeable at all, and the mango and flaxseed combo gave it a sweet and vibrant flavor. Note that if you don't have any plant based yogurt on hand, subsituting it with 1/2 of a fresh banana works great.

PUL Team - April 3, 2021, 5:48 a.m.

Thanks for sharing the banana tip, H! So glad you enjoyed the smoothie 😃
