This warm and gooey tahini, chocolate and banana wrap is easy-to-make and delicious. It's a great quick snack, wholesome enough to enjoy for breakfast while also tasting like dessert!

Ingredients

Optional toppings

  • fresh mixed berries
  • powdered sugar

Directions

  1. In a small bowl, mix together the tahini, maple syrup, and cocoa powder.
  2. Slice the banana in half, then into strips, lengthwise.
  3. Spread the tahini mixture evenly on the tortilla and then place the tortilla on a large pan on medium heat. Top with the banana slices and chopped hazelnuts.
  4. When the tortilla starts to become golden, gently fold the tortilla in half and press down with the back of a spatula. You can also roll the filled tortilla into a burrito and toast it in the pan for a neater "to-go" option.
  5. Remove the tortilla from the pan, cut it in half, and add your desired toppings. Enjoy!

This recipe is perfect when you want to switch it up but still want something easy to make. It feels like a treat in the morning when it only took me minutes to prepare! It's a staple for me now, I have it a few times a week. When I ran out of tahini I used peanut butter and in my case, I found it better to only use one tbsp and add a splash of water/milk to get the desired consistency but it was equally delicious!

This is so delicious! I don't like anything too sweet and this was so perfectly balanced for me. You can easily make it sweeter if you prefer that anyway!

This was decadent. I had to substitute tahini with peanut butter, but it was still delicious. My daughter had it with Hawaiian bread as a treat with milk and she gave it a "two thumbs up!" :)

Sorry but this was not good. Maybe because we didn’t put hazelnuts but we put we put the other ingredients exactly right. You taste the chocolate powder to much and that’s not a nice taste

Hey Lucas, sorry to hear the recipe wasn't enjoyed. Did you use Dutch-processed cocoa powder as listed? We prefer Dutch processed cocoa powder since it's sweeter in flavor and dissolves easily in liquid compared to natural cocoa powder which is more bitter. The hazelnuts also help balance out this recipe so we'd recommend using them if possible. We hope this helps for now 🙂

I absolutely loved it, the crispy tortilla and melted chocolate spread just melts in your mouth. I'm from Saudi Arabia, and growing up we always ate tahini with honey on bread. I loved this recipe it's a twist on my usual breakfast. I didn't have maple syrup so I used honey instead. I definitely recommend it. it was my first time trying a PUL recipe and it will not be my last. I just discovered your channel recently and fell in love although I'm not vegan, but I rarely cook with meat. I love your recipes they are easy to follow and they're quick, healthy and nutritious. I just wish there was a PUL app I feel like it will be an amazing upgrade.
