My new go to breakfast!

Alice - Jan. 4, 2024, 11:50 a.m.

I added a tbsp of cacao and half cup of frozen raspberries and chia for flaxs.
Very good

Lisa Liang - Nov. 25, 2023, 7:27 a.m.

It is sooo good! I enjoyed it very much!! Thanks!

Tasha - Oct. 12, 2023, 5:53 p.m.

Not a fan of cold oats. But making the recipe overnight and then popping it into the microwave for a minute, melts into heaven in my mouth. So I’m a fan of the recipe just not the concept of overnight oats.

masa - Aug. 10, 2023, 2:01 a.m.

Can I use Chia seed instead of flax seed?

PUL Team - Aug. 11, 2023, 1:19 a.m.

Hey Masa, yes you can use chia seeds instead if you'd like 😊

Line - Aug. 9, 2023, 8:55 p.m.

Mihaela - July 11, 2023, 8:41 p.m.

María - July 4, 2023, 10:19 a.m.

The first PUL recipe I try! It’s become an instant breakfast staple. Loved it. Thank you!

Suzanne - June 7, 2023, 10:04 a.m.

This made me eat oatmeal. Love this recipe!

Linda Fe - April 7, 2023, 4:06 a.m.

This is one of my go-tos for the morning! I top it with some frozen banana before putting it in the fridge, in the morning it tastes of banana-nut bread! So easy to put together and so satisfying!

PUL Team - April 7, 2023, 11 p.m.

So happy the overnight oats are being enjoyed, Linda, thank you!

Courtney - Feb. 11, 2023, 4:44 p.m.

I’ve had overnight oats from the store and hated them because of the texture but making them as a quick breakfast is too easy to ignore so I decided to give them a try. I gotta say I’m a HUGE fan, the texture is much better and it’s so delicious and indulgent that I forget it’s actually good for me. I swapped almond butter for peanut butter because it’s what I had on hand and added a teaspoon of brown sugar because it was a little too bland since all my ingredients were unsweetened and the peanut butter made it a little too salty. The best part is it’s super filling and I don’t find myself starving before lunch time!

PUL Team - Feb. 11, 2023, 11:41 p.m.

Awe we're so thrilled to hear, Courtney! Thanks for sharing the modifications too 🤗

Tink - Oct. 22, 2022, 2:33 p.m.

I made this last night for my lunch/breakfast today.
I forgot, however, my dislike of squashy textured food - its why I don’t have milk on cereal. I don’t really know why I don’t like the texture.
HAVING SAID THAT: taste wise this is amazing, I love it! Texturally, obviously, this is like leaving cereal in milk for a bit too long. Like porridge. Which is fine, because actually? With enough chocolate flakes or raspberries I’ve managed to ignore the texture in favour of the taste.
It’s really good - if you don’t have textural issues with food, it’s a winner I’m sure

Tink - Oct. 22, 2022, 2:37 p.m.

I’m replying to this just to say yes, I’m a tad silly for not realising this would be a squishy, porridgey meal. It’s my own fault.
Also to add that maybe if I increased the amount of chocolate in the mix it’d be more enjoyable for me? I’m going to investigate and play around. I’ll eat this again for sure though despite my textural issues so take that as you will!

PUL Team - Oct. 23, 2022, 7:37 p.m.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with it, Tink! Overnight oats do tend to be softer in their texture! Perhaps granola with yogurt may be a more crunchy alternative to consider? In case you're interested and haven't already seen, we have a collection of granola-related recipes here: pickuplimes.com/recipe/?sb=gr… Happy experimenting 🙂

Kiren - Aug. 17, 2021, 12:53 a.m.

This recipe was also my first time making overnight oats and it was easy to prep the night before. The next morning I added some plain coconut yogurt and chopped strawberries...delish! I was happy it kept me full until lunch.

PUL Team - Aug. 18, 2021, 12:39 a.m.

So glad you enjoyed the overnight oats, Kiren!

Djurdjica Despotovic - July 31, 2021, 9:36 p.m.

I was new to overnight oats and actually also to oatmeal in general, and this was a great entry recipe :). Very easy to make in batch in multiple jars (and just add milk the night before). I liked to add some cinnamon. Very tasty!

Dee - July 16, 2021, 11:43 a.m.

I had a change of heart in the morning after making the oats and ended up cooking it on the stove and doubling the milk. Completely different dish but it inspired my warm chocolate oatmeal breakfast.. sprinkled toasted coconut flakes and warmed up some frozen berries on the side. which is still delicious so thanks PUL! :D

PUL Team - July 18, 2021, 2:23 a.m.

Aw this is so incredible to hear, Dee, thank you for sharing!

Rebecca - July 9, 2021, 5:12 a.m.

I honestly really disliked overnight oats and took a chance with this recipe. I'm so glad I did, it has completely converted me to an overnight oats lover! A must-try if you're trying to incorporate more oats into your diet - I'd also imagine kids would love this recipe as well! Maybe even as a school lunch?

PUL Team - July 13, 2021, 4:19 a.m.

A massive thank you for the review, Rebecca, it means so much! So glad you've joined team overnight oats 😎

Piyush - July 9, 2021, 12:11 a.m.

Keren - July 8, 2021, 8:54 p.m.

Perfect make ahead breakfast!

Daria - July 8, 2021, 8:37 p.m.

Overnight oats recipes have been such a great discovery for me! Not only tasty/ desert like things for breakfast, but also so easy to make in advance and nice to know there's something waiting for you in the morning:)

PUL Team - July 11, 2021, 12:39 a.m.

Gotta love overnight oats 😍 Thank you for the review, Daria!

Yara - June 7, 2021, 9:17 p.m.

This is so tasty!
Do you think this could somehow work as a breakfast bar to eat on the go?

PUL Team - June 9, 2021, 5:07 a.m.

Hi Yara, interesting question! It may be tricky to get the mixture to stick together to bring on the go. Perhaps adding less liquid with a bit more nut butter, firmly pressing the less wet mixture into a pan, and freezing or baking it may be one idea? If you're interested in a bar recipe, you may have more luck with our Hazelnut Granola Breakfast Bars recipe. Happy cooking 🤗

Cris S - June 5, 2021, 5:05 p.m.

This was indeed my favorite from the initial overnight oats series! Very creamy, thank you! 😁

diya - June 5, 2021, 6:28 a.m.

i tried a bunch of other overnight oats recipes but never liked them enough to make them again. this one though might be my new go to breakfast - i love it! thank you :)

PUL Team - June 5, 2021, 8:56 p.m.

Woohoo! So happy to hear this, Diya, and so glad the overnight oats have been a success 😃

Sarah - May 1, 2021, 10:05 a.m.

This has become my breakfast of the moment, with a little drizzle of date syrup. And I really love the scaling feature in the new site!

PUL Team - May 1, 2021, 8:30 p.m.

Ooo we're so honoured, Sarah! So happy you're enjoying the new features of the website too 😀

Mari - April 6, 2021, 7:10 a.m.

I don’t know why but my 1/2cup of oats are 55g not 40g :c

PUL Team - April 7, 2021, 3:26 a.m.

Hi Mari! Thank you for sharing this with us. It could be the type or brand of oats being used! Two other possibilities are the quality of your scale and also being sure to subtract the weight of whatever you're weighing the oats on 🙂 40 grams is an estimation, so if the recipe turns out with more oats that would be okay too 😀

Lydia - March 24, 2021, 8:25 p.m.

These are my favorite overnight oats! I like to top the jar with frozen cherries so they thaw by morning. Sometimes I add a bit of yogurt, too. So delicious.

PUL Team - April 2, 2021, 6:13 a.m.

We're so happy to hear, Lydia! We enjoy serving it was yogurt as well 😀

Louise Magnusson🇸🇪 - March 15, 2021, 9:31 a.m.

I love the creaminess that the almond butter gives this overnight oat. Nice and filling with a refined touch from the chocolate. I’ve discovered that oat milk (biased since I use Oatly from Sweden...) is the better option for all PUL’s overnight oats. It doesn’t have any odd “background” flavour and is creamy unlike other options.
Love to top this breakfast with thawed strawberries or stewed apple with raisins and cinnamon

Sadia - March 15, 2021, 9:31 a.m.

The creaminess is my favourite part about these overnight oats 😊 and Oatly really is the best! Thanks so much, Louise!
