Directions
- In a large bowl, combine the avocados, lime juice, garlic, and spices. Mash the avocados, leaving some chunks if a textured consistency is preferred.
- Gently stir in the onion, tomato, and chives*. Garnish and serve with tortilla chips or fresh veggies, or enjoy in sandwiches or wraps!
Notes
- †We use pure ground chili powder made from dried chili peppers - not to be confused with the chili powder spice blend commonly found in the US, which often includes cumin, garlic powder, and other seasonings. For the intended heat and flavour, be sure to use pure chili powder.
- * If desired, the tomato seeds can be removed before adding to preserve the guacamole's vibrant colour.
Storage
- To retain its bright colour, this is best to enjoy immediately, or at least on the same day it's made.
- Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 1 day, but do note it will turn brown.

It was incredibly tasty... and i loved it... I had them with toast of bread with jalapenos and olives for a bit of spice and sour flavour...
Love this dip
I made guacamole many times before but this was so simple and so tasty that I'll definitely be repeating the recipe. I think I'll add some fresh chilli next time too.
Thank you!
So so delicious!
Made this during Christmas break with my parents and it was delicious! I just swapped the tomatoes with cherry tomatoes and took the rest of the spread to the cinema to share it with my cousin! I will be definitely making this again!
I make this on repeat, at least weekly. It's my favorite way of consuming avocado!
I made a huge batch of this (24 portions). It was such a hit!! Everybody wanted to know what I put in there 😄. I think it was the cumin, most recipes don’t have that. But is totally a game changer, it is soooo delicious. I will not use another recipe in my life. This is it 😍
Sorry pictures are fabulous not your recipe, sorry.
A classic dip!
The best guacamole I have ever tried, I just couldn't stop eating, I paired it with rice chips and it was just perfect!
So simple and so delicious!
Yummy and delicious 👌😊
”I didn’t think I liked guacamole, but this was really good” - My husband 😂
Absolutely love this guacamole, it’s always a favourite and there is never any left over.
simple & perfect. I added a little onion powder because I didn’t have a fresh onion on hand, and a bit of jalapeño, just for fun
Yummm! This was a simple + delicious recipe!
Beyond delicious. Hard to share!
I also put in a bit of paprika powder in addition to the chilli powder.
Delicious!
Lovely creaminess and I really enjoyed the aromatic spicy flavour. It suits very well with any kind of food. I tried it on a breakfast/brunch sandwich with kimchi and sprouts, which was delicious. Of note, I highly recommend to de-seed the tomatoes to avoid a watery and discoloured guacamole. Moreover, it makes it less difficult to eat on a sandwich😏
