Golden latte, moon milk, the yellowy-orange coloured latte has many names, and is made with different kinds of ingredients. We used a blend of warm spices, that beautifully compliment the intense turmeric flavour.

This morning I decided I had to try this Golden latte.
I made a mix for 1 serving and it is so good! The flavors of the different spices are nicely balanced and not overwhelming.
And on top of this all, the color of this latte is so vibrant, I just love it!
Thank you for sharing this recipe!

PUL Team - Jan. 19, 2022, 5:20 p.m.

Oh, Rebecca, we're smiling from ear to ear! Thank you for the glowing review 🥰

Leslie - Jan. 6, 2022, 6:24 p.m.

I'd been thinking about finding a non-coffee hot drink recipe for the winter, and was so pleased when this showed up in a video. This latte mix is so yummy! I've been using it for both hot and cold lattes. I didn't have any cardamom, and due to the cost, just went without it. I was too lazy to make vanilla sugar so use coconut sugar and vanilla extract instead. I started by making a couple single-serve lattes to ensure I liked the flavor, but quickly moved on to making a 27-serving batch! I appreciated how easy it was to reduce the recipe and the measurements were easy to accomplish (I was afraid I'd be trying to measure 0.41 of a teaspoon and the flavors would be off). Ha ha!

PUL Team - Jan. 6, 2022, 10:19 p.m.

Hello Leslie, we're so thrilled the latte mix is being enjoyed! Thanks a bunch for taking the time to share your experience and modifications with it ✨

Aw we appreciate this so much, Sandhya! Thank you for the lovely review 😃

Excited to make this (and to gift it)!! Can I use brown sugar in place of granulated sugar?

PUL Team - Jan. 1, 2022, 5:17 a.m.

Hi Janaya, yes you can use brown sugar if desired. We hope you enjoy the mix!

Thank you for sharing this recipe! This mix tastes really good and it's so convenient to have on hand for times when I crave for something warm and creamy during these cold months. Plus, it's a good use of the spices I have in my cupboard!

Aysu - Dec. 20, 2021, 5:12 p.m.

Excellent holiday present and very tasty! Love you PUL💜💜

Nina - Dec. 20, 2021, 2:26 a.m.

Excellent! I absolutely love the website that changes the serving sizes. We did 15 servings for each person for a Christmas gift, this mix is a lot smaller in volume than the mocha mix, if you are making individual jars. I found the vanilla sugar at World Market (I am in the USA). We taste tested it and it is so smooth and delicious. My husband said it was a like a hot cocoa without the chocolate. We used regular cow's milk and frothed it. Thanks for the awesome video on Youtube!

PUL Team - Dec. 21, 2021, 5:15 a.m.

Thank you for taking the time to share the insight, Nina, it's so appreciated ✨

Caroline - Dec. 19, 2021, 1:40 p.m.

Love it. Super cozy and just the right amount of spicy

Malissa - Dec. 19, 2021, 2:38 a.m.

Has anyone tried using vanilla powder in this mix? If so, how much do you think you would use?

PUL Team - Dec. 21, 2021, 3:26 a.m.

Hi there, Malissa, thanks for the question! We've used vanilla powder before and found that it left a bit of a grainy texture. You can definitely still use it, but we'd recommend starting with less since you can always add more to the drink if a stronger vanilla taste is desired 🙂

In this recipe, it may work well to use the same amount of sugar as indicated, and start with just a little bit of vanilla powder mixed in. We can't say with certainty the exact amount, but a generous pinch may do the trick to start. You can always slowly add more to taste. Do let us know how it goes if you test it out 😃

Avil - Dec. 17, 2021, 3:24 a.m.

My fave drink at the moment!

Clarissa - Dec. 16, 2021, 5:32 a.m.

This is now one of my top 5 favorite PUL recipes! I made it with 3 Tbs granulated sugar + a few drops of vanilla extract in my oat milk. Thank you so much for another recipe that I can't wait to enjoy regularly and serve to friends!!!

PUL Team - Dec. 16, 2021, 4:56 p.m.

Aw we're so glad the recipe was enjoyed, Clarissa, it means so much! Thanks for sharing ✨

Alycea - Dec. 15, 2021, 5:26 p.m.

Delicious! My second of these hot drinks to try. I just love love love this one!
The spices and creaminess are a perfect blend.

Curious if there is such a thing as vegan eggnog? This would go amazing in eggnog at this time of year if there is (or for those not vegan).

I added less sugar as I couldn't find an almond milk that hadn't been sweetened. Possibly could have done without any sugar with a sweetened milk, but purely personal as I am not one for too much sweet.

Super recipe and highly recommend!

PUL Team - Dec. 16, 2021, 8:07 a.m.

We're so grateful to hear, Alycea, thank you for the kind words! There are indeed some recipes out there for vegan eggnog. Do let us know if you experiment with this one. We'll note down a request for a PUL version of eggnog in the meantime 😃

Charlotte - Dec. 14, 2021, 5:55 p.m.

Tried this one today as I always like to try it first before gifting. I used barista coconut milk as it was the only gluten free barista milk I could find locally and it worked a treat! 🥰 It foamed up so well (better then soy milk) and the flavours together tasted delicious. Will be making this one again for sure! 💛💛

PUL Team - Dec. 15, 2021, 7:45 a.m.

We appreciate the kind words so much! So glad the latte mix was enjoyed 😃

Sandra - Dec. 14, 2021, 3:53 p.m.

This is so delicious and such an easy thing to make. I already have some cute glass containers ready to fill up with this instant mix, indeed a great (Christmas) gift <3

PUL Team - Dec. 15, 2021, 7:19 a.m.

Oh so lovely to hear, Sandra! Wishing you a very happy holidays 🙂

Detti - Dec. 14, 2021, 9:36 a.m.

It’s soo delicious! 🤩 Thanks for the recipe! I love it!

HS - Dec. 14, 2021, 4:52 a.m.

Yummy twist on turmeric latte, I have also tried it with dates and coconut milk- also from your website:)

PUL Team - Dec. 14, 2021, 5:17 a.m.

So happy to hear, HS, and thanks for taking the time to share 😃

Xenia - Dec. 13, 2021, 11:49 a.m.

Love it and I'm looking forward gifting this latte mix to my friends. Just one question - the jars you used how much volume do they have? I'm unsure about the size so I'd love to now. Thank in advance!

PUL Team - Dec. 14, 2021, 4:49 a.m.

Awe so kind of you to gift the mix, Xenia, and thanks for the question! If you choose to make the 27 servings indicated, the total yield is just over half a cup in total. We used 8oz (250 mL) jars in video that are similar to these: https://amzn.to/30pL7QV. We filled these only halfway, so if you have a smaller jar you could use that too 😊 I hope this helps for now!

Greta Dubbeld - Dec. 13, 2021, 1:36 a.m.

Easy...and delicious bedtime drink

Lauren - Dec. 11, 2021, 10:14 p.m.

The flavour of this was really nice but it was really gritty and I got an unpleasant mouthful of spice grit at the end. Have I done something wrong? Should I strain the spices out after steeping?

Echo - Dec. 14, 2021, 1 a.m.

Hi, I've experienced the same thing with a different recipe so what I do is I warm my milk on the stove then add the spice mixture and simmer for about 10 mins. My preference is to froth it before pouring into my favorite mug and relaxing while enjoying this amazing drink. Wishing you good health, peace and joy😉

PUL Team - Dec. 14, 2021, 3:08 a.m.

Hi there, Lauren, we're sorry to hear about the undesirable texture of this one! Thanks for sharing the honest feedback to help us improve. We also appreciate the insight, Echo, such a lovely idea 😃

Undissolved spices tend to give a grittier mouthfeel, so we'd recommend being sure to use hot plant- milk, giving the mixture a super good stir, and also enjoying the drink shortly after making it rather than letting it sit and settle for too long. If you have a fine-mesh strainer you could experiment with straining the latte, although it's possible that spice sediments will sneak through. Do let us know if this helps 🙂

Kate - Dec. 30, 2021, 6:26 a.m.

Totally new to your vlogs. My sister was showing me the lovely drink mixes and I just had to check it out. Would processing all ingredients in a food processor together be helpful in lowering the amount of sediment at all?

PUL Team - Dec. 30, 2021, 3:53 p.m.

Hi Kate, a warm welcome to the PUL community! Our ground spices tend to be ground down fairly small already, but it's a helpful idea to make sure the mix is ground up as much as possible 😃 If you have access to a coffee grinder, that would be a nice alternative as well. Let us know if you give the recipe a try 🙂

Nehalie Gunawardena - Dec. 11, 2021, 3:48 p.m.

It is sooo amazing. I was initially making this for my dad, but ended up finishing it myself.

PUL Team - Dec. 14, 2021, 3:07 a.m.

Hehe a lovely gift to yourself, Nehalie 🤗

Nehalie Gunawardena - Dec. 14, 2021, 3:18 a.m.

Christine - Dec. 10, 2021, 10:04 p.m.

Hi! What should we do if we’d like for this to be less sweet? Are the sugars necessary? Thank you for these lovely warning holiday drink recipes ☺️

PUL Team - Dec. 11, 2021, 10:28 p.m.

Hi Christine, we personally enjoy the sweet balance the sugar adds to the spice blend, but you could adjust it if desired! For example, you could add less sugar or alternatively omit the sugar and add sweetness to the lattes to taste when you're ready to enjoy them 😊

Sara - Dec. 10, 2021, 6:37 p.m.

This is literally a hug in a mug! The spices are not overwhelming and all of them go really well together. I would not change anything about it :)

PUL Team - Dec. 11, 2021, 10:18 p.m.

Oh, Sara, we're so glad the recipe was enjoyed!

Lea - Dec. 10, 2021, 4:19 p.m.

At First I was sceptical but it tastes amazing! Thank you so much, Sadia 💕

Jason - Dec. 10, 2021, 1:41 a.m.

Non-dairy hot beverages usually leave me cold, but this one hit the spot!

PUL Team - Dec. 10, 2021, 5:59 a.m.

We're so happy to hear, Jason! Do let us know if there's any other feedback for the recipe as we love to improve and grow where possible 🙂
