Picky eater here 🙋🏻‍♀️ I LOVED this recipe. Husband did too and is already requesting another batch. I found that with altering the spices just a little it works great for baby led weaning too!

If I use sweet potato (instead of potato), shall I reduce cooking time?

PUL Team - Nov. 9, 2022, 10:24 p.m.

Hi Mary, sweet potato may impact the cooking time slightly but the lentils will still need around 20 minutes. We'd recommend soaking the lentils overnight before cooking and keeping an eye on the pot more closely. Soft lentils and potatoes are a sign it's ready 😊

SO delicious, easy and quick! I also ended up spooning aside some of the cooked lentils (once the dish was completely made) and mashed into a paste to use as a spread for wraps and sandwiches.

Ooo sounds lovely, Elyse, thanks for the idea 😍

I love, love, love this! I had to modify the recipe slightly (due to a cinnamon intolerance -- I used allspice), but nonetheless, it came out so wholesome, warm, and comforting. Thank you!
