Discussion & Rating
I ordered the beet powder online and prepared this latte mix last night. Woke up all excited to make my first cup of the red velvet latte and I'm not disappointed 😋 it's so chocolatey and the mocha notes are just on point. I have to say though, this us definitely not for people who dislike the taste if beetroot. But in my books it's a winner!
I've been making this every day since I stumbled across beetroot powder at my local grocery store. I skip the espresso powder and use whatever plant-based milk I have, and this latte still turns out divine.
Hi there! I love the idea of this drink, but as I was looking through the ingredients I saw they were listed on amazon. The problem is Amazon is involved in the destruction of the environment/mistreatment of employees so I avoid buying from them. I was wondering if you were aware of these things and if you had any alternative stores to recommend. Thank you :)
What a lovely hug in a mug! Thanks Pick Up Limes!
I loved this recipe. The only thing I changed was used coconut milk and it was simply divine.
It's so cute and beautiful!! The best Christmas gift for our loved ones ❤ I made it for my sister and I'm not sure yet if she's more excited about the color, the smell or the taste, but she totally loved it!
Thank you for the beautiful idea!
Wish you all the happiest holidays 💕
When you posted this video, I had already been looking for warm drinks for sometime and it felt like synchronicity😋 I skipped over this one the first time I watched the video, because I am not fond of red velvet cake nor am I fond of beetroot. I watched your video again yesterday, and decided to give this particular recipe a shot, well... Because my period has been getting delayed for the past couple of months.(Probably because of stress and lack of any exercise whatsoever). I ordered the beet powder yesterday and got it today. It smelled so STRONGLY of beetroot that even my mum, who does not have any animosity against beetroots, gagged and made faces at me.
I reduced the amount in this recipe to one half- used 1:1:1 beet Coco and instant coffee... And, well, I'm not vegan, I'm a vegetarian (cuz I'm allergic to soya and also because I consume a lot of milk and vegan milk is unaffordable to most middle class people), and i added the hot water to milk and sugar. I added vanilla essence, not extract, or the vanilla sugar (costly!)
I have to say, the coffee and the cocoa balanced out the beet powder and it was almost like a chocolate drink, only red!😁
I'm so thankful that y'all invented this recipe and I'm so glad that I found it.
I have tried like, 3-4 of your recipes (to the dot) (only those many because we don't get a lot of ingredients you use here in India, and I'm a noob to cooking, so I don't know what to replace it with) and I have loved them all!❤️ Sry 4d essay
This latte is not only beautiful, but it tastes AMAZING and it's super healthy! If PickUpLimes had a cafe, this would no doubt be a top seller. Thanks for this amazing recipe!!!
So amazing gave as Christmas gifts people loved it …
I loved it! The beetroot, cacao and coffee flavours complemented each other perfectly! I really loved how it was creamy, sweet and earthy too.
So quick to make and so incredibly delicious. I actually wanted to give the mix away for Christmas, but have already used up almost all of it myself. :D
So delicious!! I will definitely be making this as a holiday gift for friends and family!
This is my new favorite afternoon pick-me up/calm-me down. A wonderful depth of flavor with the right amount of sweetness to allow the day to pass through me lightly. Thank you!
Yummy.... Just made this drink my hubby and I loved it. Can't wait to try the other ones.
Thank you,
The color is gorgeous and the taste so comforting. My go-to drink for this winter!
