Valery Valencia - April 18, 2024, 11:23 p.m.

Hadn't tried porridge out of quinoa and this is now my new favourite!

PUL Team - April 19, 2024, 7:13 a.m.

Isn't it lovely?! So happy to hear, Valery 🙌

Mara - April 5, 2024, 9:51 p.m.

Ugh simply amazing! My favorite weekend breakfast to treat myself 😍

Mi Ri - March 15, 2024, 8:52 a.m.

I Love this Quinoa recipe so much

Tiffany A. - Feb. 14, 2024, 2:31 a.m.

I love all porridge, and this was no exception! While I'm not a huge fan of most chocolate things but this was deep and lovely. It went well with many different fruits, nuts, etc. I will definitely be making this again.

PUL Team - Feb. 14, 2024, 6:47 a.m.

Yay we're so happy to hear that the chocolate quinoa porridge is being enjoyed!

Elyse - Feb. 6, 2024, 3:27 a.m.

Quite good! I used millet seed instead of quinoa and swapped coconut milk for macadamia nut milk. Like Sadia has said, any day that starts with chocolate is bound to be a good one 💕👍

PUL Team - Feb. 6, 2024, 8:15 a.m.

Love to hear this, Elyse! Here's to more delicious (and chocolatey) starts to the day 😜

Kaitlin Mitchell - Jan. 8, 2024, 10:46 p.m.

As someone who isn't a massive fan of quinoa but a big fan of porridge love this recipe! Had leftover quinoa from a recipe and this a great way to use it.

PUL Team - Jan. 8, 2024, 11:51 p.m.

Woohoo! A lovely idea to use the leftover quinoa in the porridge, Kaitlin, thanks ☺️

alice - Jan. 5, 2024, 1:10 p.m.

I made this the 2nd time, so i have to leave a comment, just to 'give back' a little, as you told it helps to support the channel.
I followed the recipe this time - only added a bit less sugar and ofc omitted the cinnamon and added half cup water - came out a bit more liquidy, which i love. Topped with acai frozen sorbet and..chocolate and peanut butter -->YOU have bad influence on me !! xd Seriously, after learning how to make porridge from your oat videos, i cannot have my oats with no chocolate and nut butter anymore, so i understand Robin, i loved hogelsloht<?) when i visited Amsterdam, brought some back ..;). Amount for 2 people was perfect for 2 ppl here.
And played the video to remind myself how to make it ..so of course watched all of it again when it was cooking xd. I love how you just sit on the floor back to the couch-that's what i love to do when reading/eating, or even when i have just a few guests over for hot wine *from your mulled cider recipe). And when you were watering the plants it looked as you were water-hosing Robin's back. He was awfully calm, haah xDDD.
i guess all that to say i almost feel like you;'re my imaginary friend i havent met yet xd. You have such a great taste in everything i see in videos and you're so relatable. Stay warm and safe <3

PUL Team - Jan. 5, 2024, 8:44 p.m.

Thank you so much for your delightful comment and support, Alice! Your creativity with the recipe is awesome, and we're thrilled you enjoy the videos. It's heartwarming to be your friend. Let's keep sharing these cozy moments 🥰 Stay warm and safe, too!

Mara - Dec. 31, 2023, 11:35 a.m.

This is sooooo good and easy to make 😍
Will be making this on repeat 🥰

J - Dec. 28, 2023, 4:21 a.m.

I was gonna make it and swap out some of the nut milks with walnut and coconut milk and adding dark chocolate chips instead of powder because it's what I have on hand hope it taste great also adding vinalla powder.

Noomi Kifarkis - Dec. 16, 2023, 6:59 a.m.

It was good, but when I made four portions, we ate a total of seven portions over a couple of days and there were still soo much left that I just had to throw out. And yes, I followed the recipe. Quinoa is just very filling.

PUL Team - Dec. 16, 2023, 7:27 a.m.

Hey Noomi, thanks for taking the time to share your experience with the recipe. Quinoa is indeed pretty filling and appetites vary from person to person! We aim to have our meals at around 500 calories per serving (give or take) and this one falls within that range. With that said, honour your appetite, and thanks for sharing so others can keep that in mind as well 🤗

Britta - Nov. 21, 2023, 1:44 p.m.

Very delicious and rhich! A breakfast that lasts until lunch 😃👏

Mary - Oct. 1, 2023, 8:25 p.m.

Continues to be a favorite....made it for unexpeceted guests who stopped by with fresh berries. Such a delicious treat. Everyone loved it!

Charity-Angelique Belz - Aug. 28, 2023, 3:44 p.m.

Big portion, taste is good. I‘m just not the biggest fan of sweet quinoa.

Nicole - Aug. 3, 2023, 4:07 p.m.

This looks amazing! Will for sure be trying later this week :)
Can I ask what brand of coconut yogurt you use? I've been looking for a good vegan substitute and yours look so rich and creamy :)
Thanks!

PUL Team - Aug. 3, 2023, 8:02 p.m.

Hey Nicole, we usually use the house brand made by our local grocery store in the Netherlands called Albert Heijn :)

Nancy - July 29, 2023, 3:39 p.m.

This isn't something to make during a morning rush, but perfect for a lazy Saturday. I like the idea of using quinoa for breakfast but was hoping to get more protein. Maybe next time I'll add a little almond butter. Very yummy and creamy.

PUL Team - July 30, 2023, 7:36 p.m.

A lovely idea to add nut butter, Nancy! Perhaps you could also top it with some nuts or seeds if you'd like 🤗

Bex - July 29, 2023, 1:15 p.m.

Delicious, creamy and nutritious. I made a big batch so gonna try out storing it in the fridge and either eating cold over the next couple of days or reheating. Thank you for this one! ☺️

PUL Team - July 30, 2023, 7:22 p.m.

Yayyy thank YOU, Bex, it means so much 😊

Vessy - July 1, 2023, 12:57 a.m.

Ist sehr lecker und passt uns gut!

Marlis - June 30, 2023, 1:55 p.m.

My 1 and 9 year old liked it !
At first i thought that something is missing but then i mixed in rasberrys it was delicious.
Im gonna make it again

Emilia Simina Ciobanu - June 30, 2023, 7:41 a.m.

Very tasty!
At first I was a little sceptical to the idea of sweet quinoa (I have seen a few recipes with the sweet option, but never tested). But the texture and the chocolate flavour are awesome!
Thank you very much! ❤️

PUL Team - June 30, 2023, 9:48 p.m.

So thrilled to hear, Emilia, thanks so much! 🤗

Patsy - June 22, 2023, 5:52 a.m.

Absolutely delicious. Thank you!

Mai - May 3, 2023, 2:47 p.m.

I was excited to try this gluten free recipe, after few spoonfulls started to disgust me, my husband and son, we used canned coconut milk and I think it made it too fatty. When I would try it again, then only wit plant based milk and no coconut milk. That could work.

PUL Team - May 4, 2023, 3:23 a.m.

Hey Mai, oh no! Indeed the coconut milk adds creaminess and a hint of coconut to the taste. This recipe will also work with light coconut milk or other plant milk. If the consistency is too thin, you can let it simmer for longer 🙂

Stefan - Oct. 16, 2023, 10:20 a.m.

That's how I do it! I use light coconut milk and let it simmer for longer. You get the creaminess, the coconut flavor and the fat is not so overwhelming. :-)

Martunia - April 11, 2023, 10:09 a.m.

I batch made this for the week and I'm really happy I did, it's very good! I'm not a fan of quinoa, but in this recipe it's actually really yummy 😋

PUL Team - April 11, 2023, 4:24 p.m.

So happy to hear, Martunia - enjoy!

Suz - Feb. 11, 2023, 4:37 p.m.

Beautiful. This is a very tasty breakfast & a lovely change from oats. It's is very Filling & kept me going for 4 hours! I topped it with blueberries, raspberries, sliced banana & a dollop of yoghurt. To be repeated for sure. Thank you

PUL Team - Feb. 11, 2023, 9:05 p.m.

Incredible! It means so much that the recipe was enjoyed, Suz 🤗

Gerda - Feb. 10, 2023, 12:29 a.m.

This is my go to recipe when I need something comforting and warm. I leave out the brown sugar and swap the soy-milk to bean milk instead (soy-intolerant). I have noticed that it is amazing with quinoa that is unpeeled, gives it a more nutty flavour. Favourite topping is a drizzle of tahini :) Thank you so so much for this recipe!

PUL Team - Feb. 10, 2023, 6:43 a.m.

So thrilled to hear this, Gerda, thank you!

AT - Jan. 16, 2023, 9:11 p.m.

Can you add more milk and not use coconut milk?
What does the latter achieve? I don't regularly have this on hand.
Thanks!

PUL Team - Jan. 18, 2023, 12:38 a.m.

Hey AT, yes, you can add more plant milk if you'd like. The coconut milk adds a velvety creaminess and hint of coconut taste to the porridge that we prefer, but other plant milks will do. If the consistency is too thin, you could let it simmer for longer 🙂

Anastasia Tharp - Jan. 18, 2023, 1:05 a.m.

Thanks! I'll try it now this way, next time I go to store I'll pick up a can and try that way too.
Will report back!

Gabby - Jan. 1, 2023, 12:41 a.m.

I batch prep quinoa for the week is there anyway to use already made quinoa or no:)

PUL Team - Jan. 1, 2023, 9:36 p.m.

Everything is always possible, Gabby, but it will taste a tad different. Start with 3 cups of cooked quinoa to yield the 4 portions. I can't say for certain the amount of liquid (soy milk + coconut milk) you'll need, so start with a bit (maybe start with 1/4 cup each to start), and you can always add more in equal parts if you prefer it thinner. The rest of the ingredients can be added in the proportions listed. If you try it out, let us know how it goes! 😊

Gabby - March 14, 2023, 1:12 p.m.

I tried it out the original way and with the premade it taste good with the premade but much creamier your way so I just decided to make two batches of quinoa a week one for this and one for my savory dishes 😂 thank you so much for these recipes :)

Hanna - Dec. 4, 2022, 9:04 a.m.

How can you defrost these ? If I want this for an afternoon snack , is it best to just defrost in the morning or the day before ? Thank you ! I also wondered if I would just keep it in the fridge , will the banana stay fresh ? Thanks !!! I loved the recipe💙

PUL Team - Dec. 5, 2022, 12:33 a.m.

Hey there, Hanna! We'd recommend the freezer over the refrigerator if storing for more than three days. We tend to let the porridge thaw in the fridge overnight, though you could also let it thaw for several hours on the counter and then reheat as desired 🙂

Hafsa - Oct. 28, 2022, 2:12 p.m.

This recipe looks so delicious and can’t wait to try it; I’m not vegan however so can I swap the coconut milk & soy milk for normal milk ( as I don’t have soy/coconut milk at home )

PUL Team - Oct. 28, 2022, 6:36 p.m.

Hey there, Hafsa! Since we only use plant-based products here at PUL we haven't tested it out, but we hope you enjoy the porridge if you're able to give it a try☺️

Nickesha - Oct. 4, 2022, 2:35 p.m.

I made this for as a birthday breakfast treat and it was yummy! It was flavorful and cozy with just the right amount of sweetness! Thanks for this!

PUL Team - Oct. 6, 2022, 5:02 p.m.

Happy belated birthday, Nickesha, and thank you! Do let us know if there's any other feedback to help us improve 😃

Chamali - Sept. 12, 2022, 5:05 a.m.

Hi, this looks amazing. I would love to try it, but I am not a fan of bananas. Is there any substitute you could suggest? Thanks :)

PUL Team - Sept. 12, 2022, 5:22 p.m.

Hey Chamali, you can omit the banana for a less sweet and creamy porridge. You may want to add other toppings such as fruit or sweetener to taste to help balance out the flavours. We've heard positive reviews with fruit such as apples and berries. We hope you enjoy the porridge if you're able to give it a try 😃

Mary - Sept. 1, 2022, 9:45 p.m.

We make this often....it's so very good. This summer it's become our go to meal when traveling. Perfect for a road trip or at the airport (before going thru security). Thanks again for this delicious breakfast idea.

PUL Team - Sept. 5, 2022, 12:42 a.m.

Thank you for the kind words, Mary! Safe travels 🤗

Jana - Sept. 1, 2022, 10:55 a.m.

great!

Luci - Aug. 23, 2022, 8:54 p.m.

Wow. I was a bit hesitant about trying this with quinoa, but it is so delicious. So satisfying. Perfectly balanced. Yum!

PUL Team - Aug. 23, 2022, 11:21 p.m.

Woohoo! Thank you, Luci 😃

Brit - Aug. 23, 2022, 10:51 a.m.

This is delicious! I scooped up as much as I would have of a basic oat porridge... It was too much. This is very very filling and satisfying! Will definitely keep this one in the breakfast mix. Can't wait to try variations!

PUL Team - Aug. 23, 2022, 8:34 p.m.

We appreciate the glowing feedback, Brit, thank you!

Cristina - Aug. 17, 2022, 4:22 p.m.

Healthy and yummy recipe, very easy to prepare <3 I didn't had coconut milk cane but I've used just the soy milk and some nuts as a fat option xx Thank you, love!

PUL Team - Aug. 17, 2022, 10:58 p.m.

So glad it's being enjoyed, Cristina, thank you!

A Joy - July 31, 2022, 7:38 p.m.

This is a delicious start to the day. My family may never know I am feeding them vegan foods.
I did omit the banana as I developed an aversion to banana years ago; I would like to make this recipe again for my family and include the banana to see how they like it with that element. I also used oat milk at the request of my daughter and topped it with shredded coconut.
Please keep the amazing recipes coming and thank you for sharing your passion with us.

PUL Team - July 31, 2022, 9:48 p.m.

We appreciate the kind words and support so much, A Joy! So thrilled the porridge was enjoyed too 🙂

Colleen - July 13, 2022, 2:26 a.m.

...as ALWAYS, another winning and Amazingly Healthy meal. I made a 1/4 recipe with the following changes: all white quinoa, Raw organic Cocoa, and no sugar. After I put it in the bowl I added raw honey and oat milk (we buy both soy and oat). When paired with coffee, my coffee suddenly was the best cup all week! Well, off to whip up a batch of your granola (date/tahini one) from like two years ago.

PUL Team - July 13, 2022, 6:25 a.m.

Oh, Colleen, thank you for taking the time to share your modifications! So glad it was enjoyed 🙂

Amanda - July 12, 2022, 5:26 a.m.

This is a really comforting breakfast. I’ve made this recipe twice now and I love it. I’d never had quinoa in a sweeter context, but this was so good! I love the cinnamon, chocolate, and banana combo!

I’ve followed the recipe exactly both times and been super happy with the results. It’s great for meal prepping too.

PUL Team - July 13, 2022, 6:09 a.m.

So glad the porridge is being enjoyed, Amanda, it means so much! Happy meal prepping 🤗

Mary - June 27, 2022, 8:36 p.m.

Delicious, Delicious, Delicious! What a great breakfast we just had of Chocolate Quinoa Porridge. Used one ripe banana and one frozen banana....because that's what we had. Will definitely make this again and again. Topped it today with fresh nectarines and raspberries.

PUL Team - June 28, 2022, 2:47 a.m.

Aw it means so much, Mary, thank you! These modifications all sound delicious 😍

Sonia - June 22, 2022, 9:45 a.m.

Absolutely love it! I omitted the sugar and put more fruit instead (wild strawberries). Definietly gonna make it again. Thanks for the recipe :)

PUL Team - June 22, 2022, 4:19 p.m.

Hey Sonia! We're so glad the porridge was enjoyed with the modification. Thank you 😃

Elena - June 20, 2022, 4:16 p.m.

Great recipe! Thank you!

Jackie - June 14, 2022, 12:14 p.m.

Easy and delicious! a good alternative to oatmeal

Ellie - June 11, 2022, 3:11 a.m.

This was sooooo good. I use date sugar and oat milk instead, and it came out perfect. My non-vegan family was impressed and we had it twice last week! Recommending this to everyone I know.

PUL Team - June 13, 2022, 4:20 p.m.

Thanks for the insight, Ellie, it's so appreciated!

Devan - June 10, 2022, 6:37 p.m.

I am in love with this porridge! When my sister and I were kids, we would often make these no-bake cookies where you cooked oats, cocoa, butter etc. on the stove and then dropped them onto wax paper to firm in the fridge. But my favorite thing was to eat the warm cookie mixture hot off the stove and that's totally what this porridge reminds me of!! Super nostalgic and satisfying. I love the combo of the quinoa and flax, it makes for such a lovely texture. I've made this with both strawberries and chopped apple in place of the bananas to use what I had, and both were delicious! Last time I made it, I left the cocoa out just for a change, and made a vanilla maple version that came out amazing! Since you requested more reviews in your last video, I just had to tell you about my love affair with this porridge :) As an oatmeal devotee, this has been a wonderfully light, yet filling option for the warmer months. Thank you for providing such reliable, creative, and delicious recipes. PUL is the best! xo

PUL Team - June 13, 2022, 3:41 p.m.

Oh, Devan, you're the best! Thank you for taking the time to share your kind words and experience with the porridge. A vanilla maple version sounds incredible 😍

Elin - June 10, 2022, 10:41 a.m.

This is my new go to breakfast! I make a whole batch and then store it in the fridge troughout the week so idont have to spend time on making breakfast. Filling and so good! i skipped the bananas for a less sweeter taste and it also worked really well:)

PUL Team - June 13, 2022, 2:18 a.m.

Ooo a lovely meal prep idea, Elin! So happy it's being enjoyed 🙂

Makayla - June 4, 2022, 7:58 p.m.

This tasted amazing! I especially loved how easy it was to make. The shredded coconut added a nice crunch to it as well. 😄 Thank you for the recipe!

PUL Team - June 5, 2022, 2:42 a.m.

Woohoo! So happy to hear, Makayla 🤗

Somdotta - June 2, 2022, 8:07 a.m.

Liisa - May 29, 2022, 11:13 a.m.

This porridge is absolutely yummy and brings variety to normal oatporrigde we enjoy mostly from monday to friday.
Thank´s for the recipe :)

PUL Team - May 29, 2022, 5:44 p.m.

We appreciate it so much, Liisa, thank you!

Charlotte - May 26, 2022, 6:26 p.m.

I made this recipe today and really enjoyed it. I am a huge fan of oats for breakfast but sometimes it's nice to switch it up for another grain. Sometimes I make millet porridge and now I can add quinoa to my repertoire! 🙌🏻 I love the combination of the slightly nutty quinoa with the creamy yogurt and sweet berries. 😍

PUL Team - May 27, 2022, 6:37 a.m.

We love to change it up as well and are so thrilled it was enjoyed, Charlotte! Thank you 🤗

Lauren - May 24, 2022, 12:05 a.m.

Loved this recipe, added some almond butter as a topping. Only thing is the liquid is so thick and creamy that the quinoa took nearly an hour to cook and still had some crunch to it.. but it was still yum.

Jordan - May 23, 2022, 5:49 p.m.

This recipe was fun to make and smelled amazing while boiling. However, I think the bananas (we used very ripe ones) ruin the taste. I would recommend not putting them in the pot while it cooks, but put them on top when serving. Also, we used maple syrup instead of brown sugar and the 3 tbsp were not enough to sweeten the porridge, even with the ripe bananas.

PUL Team - May 24, 2022, 3:11 a.m.

Hey Jordan, thanks for taking the time to share your experience with it! 🙂

Amber - May 29, 2022, 6:50 p.m.

I used underripe bananas and it worked really well!

Valérie Babin - May 20, 2022, 1:56 p.m.

Un beau bonjour du Québec!

This is a really good recipe! Quinoa is a interesting change instead of oatmeal.

Continue your good work!

Caitlin - May 19, 2022, 1:42 p.m.

Mmmm… I’m addicted! This porridge is rich, velvety and tastes like brownies for breakfast! I’ll be having this over and over again. Thanks PUL team!

PUL Team - May 20, 2022, 1:16 a.m.

Oh, Caitlin, it means so much! Thank you 💛

Rose - May 17, 2022, 7:05 p.m.

Not overly sweet and subtle cocoa flavor. Reminded me of the Malt-O-Meal I ate as a child. :) Also, I'm excited to try it cold.

PUL Team - May 18, 2022, 4:13 a.m.

Awe love the connection to the recipe, Rose, and we're so happy it was enjoyed ✨

Beth - May 17, 2022, 3:18 p.m.

Absolutely Delicious! Will make again and again! Can't wait for the left overs!

PUL Team - May 18, 2022, 4:08 a.m.

Woohoo! We hope you enjoy the leftovers, Beth 🤗

Karolina - May 17, 2022, 12:53 p.m.

Very easy and very tasty. I loved pudding consistency that the porridge has.
I had ithe porridge today for breakfast. I will make soon again for my family ☺️because they have to try it.

PUL Team - May 18, 2022, 4 a.m.

So thrilled to hear, Karolina, thank you!

alice - Jan. 5, 2024, 12:58 p.m.

To jest wspaniałe! Też bym nie przypuszczałą, że quinoa na słodko może być tak wspaniałą !

Nancy - May 17, 2022, 5:51 a.m.

This porridge looks really interesting, looking forward to trying it! Quick question, I didn't see you add bananas in your video, is it possible to make this recipe without them? Love your videos, decided I was going to dig in & start trying some of your recipes:))

PUL Team - May 18, 2022, 3:56 a.m.

Hey Nancy, we enjoy adding the banana as it caramelizes which adds a delicious creaminess and touch of sweetness. You can omit it if desired though! You may want to add other toppings such as fruit or sweetener to taste then to help balance it out. We hope you enjoy it if you're able to give it a try 🙂

Karin - May 16, 2022, 6:46 p.m.

This porridge tasted really good! Even my (sometimes very picky) kids liked it so much - thank you for sharing! Can't wait to finally see your app :-) greetings from Austria!!

PUL Team - May 18, 2022, 3:45 a.m.

Thanks, Karin! We're super excited and hope to share more details on the app soon 😃

Egle - May 15, 2022, 6:22 p.m.

This is the first time I tried quinoa in a desert. It has delightful pudding like consistency and tastes even better the next day.
Very delicious recipe :)

PUL Team - May 16, 2022, 4:16 a.m.

It means so much that the recipe was enjoyed, Egle, thank you!

Doug - May 15, 2022, 2:37 p.m.

I need to mix up the usual oatmeal routine, and this was so easy!

PUL Team - May 16, 2022, 4:14 a.m.

Yay! So happy to hear, Doug 🙂

Momo - May 15, 2022, 1:30 p.m.

Make this morning. Thanks for the recipe m. A good alternative to rice pudding and a way to have a little more protein :)

PUL Team - May 16, 2022, 3:57 a.m.

Thanks for taking the time to share, Momo!

Meg - May 15, 2022, 11:01 a.m.

So good! I am trying to incorporate more quinoa to my diet, and this is a great idea beyond just a dinnertime rice replacement. Looking forward to the leftovers!

PUL Team - May 16, 2022, 2:42 a.m.

So glad to hear, Meg, enjoy the leftovers :D

Alex - May 13, 2022, 9:54 p.m.

This was delicious! Made it this morning and my whole family loved it

PUL Team - May 15, 2022, 12:32 a.m.

Woohoo! So happy to hear, Alex ✨

Laura G - May 13, 2022, 6:45 p.m.

Sadia, it was delicious and so easy to make. Thank you!

PUL Team - May 15, 2022, 12:09 a.m.

Thank you, Laura!

I made this today for breakfast. I substituted the brown sugar for maple syrup 'cause that's what I only have on hand. It is kind of similar to "champurrado" only this one tastes a lot better! I love the texture of the quinoa and the creaminess from the addition of the coconut milk. I will definitely be making this again 🥳

Yummm I'll try making it with oats since I don't have quinoa at hand and really want to try it out 😍😍😍
