Delicious!
Hi pick-up limes! I love your youtube channel and your recipes! I tried this one but I replaced the beans with chickpeas, and it was delicious! So simple but full of flavor. I added tomato paste and a bit more spices (paprika, smoked paprika, chili powder and chili flakes) and it added a lot more flavor (recommend you try it!)
Thanks for the inspiration!

So spicy! I made it for breakfast this morning and I can still feel the pleasant burn in my mouth 🙃 the yogurt and avocado mellow down the flavor a bit and the pita adds a perfect crunch.
The flavors hit just right! I’ve made this dish so often during winter, especially after a long day at work when I don’t want to spend a ton of time cooking, and it’s satisfying and delicious every time. When I don’t have harissa, I use curry paste, and everyone is still happy.
I already made this a bunch of times and it is one of my favourite weeknight dinner recipes! I always substitute the harissa paste with a spice mix, though.
This is my new favourite meal, I prepear it all the time! In the winter months I usually use canned tomatoes instead of the fresh ones. :) It is so quick to prepear and tastes amazing.
Super easy and flavorful! Perfect for a weekday dinner
Absolutely delicious and so quick and easy to make! I served mine with brown rice and quinoa. I’ll cook kale as a side for leftovers tomorrow
This has become one of my go-to recipes! I often have it as a sandwich when I'm travelling (then minus the yoghurt) and it's packed with flavour and protein :)
I am a student that doesn't know how to cook but I started following your recipes and they are so easy to make, super tasty and fast! Thank you so much for this! I really love it 🤩. My uni years are being filled with lovely food !
P.S I also looovvee that you have the videos attached to the recipes ...I often don't know how to proceed and the videos help me a lot .
Continue the super nice work 🥰
I just tried this tonight! I did not have harissa so I substituted with chili flakes and fresh chili. It was unbelievably delicious, I'm still thinking about it haha Will try it again with harissa :)
This recipe was quick, easy and delicious. I made it exactly as written except I had harissa powder, not sauce, and plain yogurt. I will definitely be making this again.
This recipe is so simple yet filling and delicious. It’s always nice to find vegan recipes enriched with spices. Perfect weekday meal. Thank you 🙏
Made this last night love the flavor ! I never knew harissa was a hidden gem thanks for this recipe !!
Thank you for such a lovely recipe :) I was short on some ingredients, so replaced lemon, spices and harissa with peanut butter, sweetened almond milk and local spicy tomato paste. Surprisingly it worked well! Also garnished with rice instead of bread. And I'll definitely try your original recipe.
Man oh man this one hit the spot!! I didn’t have pita bread so I made the tortilla naan from your potato and spinach curry recipe… it worked perfectly with this dish! Thank you PUL!
Not normally a bean fan but we loved this and will be making it often.
Tried it for it's speed and cost. Soooooo goooooood. This is a new weekly fav! Love your recipes.
Thank you so much! This was so easy and delicious. I Thought I didn't have anything for a wholesome and protein-rich breakfast at home but I really wanted a good start for the morning before leaving the house. I had an avocado but didn't feel inspired. Just quickly browsing your page changed that immediately and I ended up super happy and nourished with this awesome breakfast. Now I leave the house happy to do my tasks for the day. Thank you so much for ongoing inspirations!
This is my go-to quick recipe for every guest that I try to convince wholesome vegan food can be good.
I get positive reactions every time.
Today I had no bell pepper, so I added bamboo shoots. Worked just as well!
I made it and just a heads up that if you're not a spicy person, just put 1 TBSP of the Harissa. OMG, it was so spicy for me but my husband liked it. He even liked it better when we had it for leftovers! Fun to try a new recipe :)
This recipe blew my mind. It's one of my new favorites. So cheap and quick, and soooooooooooo delicious.
Absolutely loved this. My new go-to on a midweek night when I think there's no food in the house.
So gooooood and filling. Always keep some beans in my pantry for this one!
Such a great, easy, and flavorful meal idea! We halved the harissa to make it less spicy and it was still so flavorful! Definitely saving this one for future use.
Tried this recipe last night, and it is SO GOOD. It's easy and quick to make and also super flavourful. Will definitely be making this again.
I just had to return and leave another comment as this dish has become a firm favourite in our house and I've been making it at least twice a week since discovering it! I've continued to add mushrooms and substitute the bell pepper for a poblano. I like to cook the onion/mushroom/poblano mixture down until the mushrooms get a hint of gold and the onions and poblano become a little jammy. It's so tasty that I'm salivating even just writing about it; I honestly can't recommend this recipe highly enough! 😊
Made this as a Monday night dinner because I finally did my food shop and realised how much nutrition and wellness my body is lacking. Decided to meal prep for the week and started off with this lovely beans. This was so, so delicious I'm literally obsessed and I'm going to make it all the time. Thank you always to Sadia and the PUL Team that pull through!
Hey Sadia, I made these beans last week and they were phenomenal omg! I’m trying to transition to eating healthier but I’m having a hard time and often opt for take out. Any advise? I want to become a vegan as well but I struggle with time management and always cooking seems stressful especially with my schedule.
I couldn't find butter beans at my local store, so I substituted with white beans (which are way smaller than the ones I saw on the video).
But oh boy, I really enjoyed to make and eat this recipe!! I love how easy and versatile it is. Thank you PUL team!!🤗
I loved this one! Thanks again Sadia and PUL team!
I took my bike and went to the super market just to get the bell pepper and 10 cherry tomatoes, I thought I had harrissa sauce somewhere in my pantry (cuz I thought my sister had it) turns out I did not have it, so I made some spicy tomato sauce on my own, this recipe was 100% worth it and delicious for my tummy, thank you for posting these awesome recipes <3
Thanks again for a delicious dinner! I am not sure what kind of harissa you find in the Netherlands though but with the one I find in France, there's no way I could use 2 Tbsp of it! haha The one we have here is almost like wasabi in strength, we have to dilute it in broth first (I usually live in the UK and the one I find there, I can easily use half of the jar because it's not spicy at all). So I only used a tiny bit this time and added a tin of diced tomatoes so I had lots of sauce to go with the pita bread :)
Can you recommend a non spicy sauce to use instead of harissa?
I just made this recipe for lunch. I'm actually eating it right now! I added some sliced Persian cucumber for a crunch. HOLY SMOKES!!! This is delicious and addictive. As long as I keep the components separated, does this travel and reheat well? This is would great for lunch at work.
Hi, I have enjoyed some of your receipies. They were all great. I am ready to try this one. I am on no wheat diet, what would you suggest to replace the pita With?
I am hooked on your videos. I am one of the subscribers. Love both of you. Cheers to Robin.

Lovely flavour combinations! We enjoyed this dish, especially with a extra splash of lime
Super simple but full of flavor!
Quick and easy with lots of flavour. Perfect for midweek!
I'm a turtle in the kitchen so this took me close to half an hour to cook, but it was well worth it! We loved it, and my husband has requested it again for dinner tonight!
I ended up substituting the bell pepper for a big portobello (150g) that I sauteed with the onion. Next time I'll add in some jalapenos too (I wasn't sure how spicy our harissa was and didn't want to overdo it).
I'm just wondering where the 19g of protein in the nutritional breakdown comes from? I used a 400g tin of Annalisa cannelini beans which yielded 240g of beans at 8.3g of protein per serve. The pita were only 3.7g per serve and I don't see the capsicum, tomatoes or coconut yoghurt providing more than 3g or so. 🤔 Will have to think of ways to sneak in a little extra.
This was such a lovely, healthy, tasty meal! And the biggest surprise was how fast i could prepare it, definetly will do this again
Great recipe and really a nice one. Will surely try this Try this one also
Randomly came across this today - it was So quick and easy and delicious!
I made this with white beans and even added mushrooms and snow peas for extra veggies and it turned out sooooo good, I put the bean and veggies mixture in a wrap with lettuce and I loved it, super flavorful <3
I made this tonight and this was soooo good! Thank you! Definitely will be part of my roaster of recipes for quick dinners.
This recipe was absolutely delicious! The spicy bean mix with the cool creamy yogurt, avocado and toasted pita was an amazing combination! I loved how quick it was to make too.
This looks incredible! Any suggestions on what I could substitute the bell pepper for (strangely I'm 'allergic' to bell peppers - causes vomiting - but I'm fine with tomatoes and chillis)? I was thinking I'd just add additional tomatoes and some jalapenos?
Can't wait to try it! 😊
Made this with black beans instead of butter beans and def took longer than 15 mins with my unskilled hands, but turned out so good! Thank you :P
