Green Goddess Salad Dressing
This is my new favourite salad dressing! While most store-bought versions rely on heavy fats, this plant-based version gets part of its creaminess from tangy vegan yogurt. This keeps it light yet satisfying with less mayo and minimal oil. It’s also packed with fresh herbs for a zesty kick, and you can easily swap in whatever you have on hand. I especially love it drizzled over leafy salads, spooned onto nourish bowls, or served as a dip for roasted veggies. Healthy, flexible, and full of flavour, it’s definitely a keeper.Servings

Directions
- Add all the ingredients to a small food processor or blender.
- Blend until smooth. Taste test and adjust seasoning to taste.
- Pour the dressing over your favourite salad or nourish bowl, and enjoy!
Notes
- †For us, 1 lemon yielded about 2 Tbsp (30 mL) lemon juice.
- †White miso, also called "Shiro Miso," is fermented for less time than red miso, which gives it a milder, sweeter flavour. If substituting red miso, use a smaller amount and adjust to taste, as red miso is saltier and stronger.
Storage
- Store well-sealed in the fridge for up to 3 days.

Frequently asked questions
What makes this salad dressing recipe green?
The vibrant green dressing comes from a mix of fresh herbs, all blended into the creamy base.
What herbs work best?
We’ve been using classic options like parsley, chives, dill, and basil lately, but feel free to play around with your favourite herbs. It’s a super flexible recipe! For example, tarragon, cilantro, or mint also will add fun flavour twists.
Are Green Goddess dressings usually vegan?
No, traditionally, they’re made with ingredients like mayonnaise or sour cream. This version swaps those for vegan mayo and soy yogurt, making it completely plant-based, dairy-free, and egg-free!
How long does it last?
This recipe lasts about 3 days in the fridge in a well-sealed container. Be sure to give it a good stir before using!

This is the absolute best dressing for a salad you can imagine. I have this about once a week and every time I gush about how amazing it is.
Very nice. I’ll probably add nutritional yeast next time.
Se ve bien pero debo prepararla para comprobarla
I substituted 2% Greek yogurt in lieu of vegan yogurt and cottage cheese in lieu of vegan mayo. Really tasty, zesty dressing. Dipped some veg in it - yum!
Fantastic 10/10 new fav dressing!
So clean and fresh! We had it with summer rolls, on salads, and just as a veggie dip.
Perfect dressing, for wraps or with baked potatoes.
Amazing! Would definitely recommend
This dressing is AMAZING. I've made it 3 times in the last 2.5 weeks and find myself eating a lot more vegetables. I made the second and third batches without the maple syrup and preferred that because i love savory. Delicious! Thank you!
Excellent
I'm obsessed!! Could batch make and enjoy all week (it also works as a great dip with the PUL garlic & basil potato wedges).
