Green Goddess Salad Dressing

Salad

One-bowl / one-pot

This is my new favourite salad dressing! While most store-bought versions rely on heavy fats, this plant-based version gets part of its creaminess from tangy vegan yogurt. This keeps it light yet satisfying with less mayo and minimal oil. It’s also packed with fresh herbs for a zesty kick, and you can easily swap in whatever you have on hand. I especially love it drizzled over leafy salads, spooned onto nourish bowls, or served as a dip for roasted veggies. Healthy, flexible, and full of flavour, it’s definitely a keeper.

Frequently asked questions

What makes this salad dressing recipe green?

The vibrant green dressing comes from a mix of fresh herbs, all blended into the creamy base.

What herbs work best?

We’ve been using classic options like parsley, chives, dill, and basil lately, but feel free to play around with your favourite herbs. It’s a super flexible recipe! For example, tarragon, cilantro, or mint also will add fun flavour twists.

Are Green Goddess dressings usually vegan?

No, traditionally, they’re made with ingredients like mayonnaise or sour cream. This version swaps those for vegan mayo and soy yogurt, making it completely plant-based, dairy-free, and egg-free!

How long does it last?

This recipe lasts about 3 days in the fridge in a well-sealed container. Be sure to give it a good stir before using!
