I love making this drink for parties, especially in the fall and winter. It's so aromatic, it makes our house smell inviting and cozy, and everyone always asks for the recipe.

The zesty oranges, tangy apple juice and tart cranberries are the perfect compliment to the spices, and this drink looks beautifully festive too with the bright orange and red fruits.

For a next level party drink, run a wedge of orange around the rim of a glass and dip the edge in sugar before pouring in your warm cider!

Mulled Spiced Apple Cider

INGREDIENTS

8 cups (2 L) apple cider or apple juice

1 orange, thinly sliced

6 cardamom pods, cracked

4 cinnamon sticks

3 whole cloves

1/2 cup fresh cranberries

2cm/1-inch piece ginger, thinly sliced

Directions

  1. Place all ingredients in a large pot and bring to a boil over high heat.

  2. Reduce heat to a simmer, partially cover and let infuse for 20-30 minutes.

  3. Serve warm. Enjoy!
