Ingredients

  • ⅓ cup (75g)
    light brown sugar (packed)
  • 1½ Tbsp (23ml)
    water
  • ¼ tsp
    salt
  • 2 cups (200g)
    raw pecans

Directions

  1. Line a baking tray with parchment paper. Set aside.
  2. Combine the ingredients (except for the pecans) in a heavy-bottomed saucepan.
  3. Cook at medium-high heat, until the sugar melts and boils rapidly, about 2 - 3 minutes.
  4. Add the pecans and stir to coat.
  5. Immediately transfer them to the prepared lined tray, spreading them out as much as possible.
  6. Let them cool down completely before transferring them to a container. Enjoy!

Can you substitute maple syrup in place of the brown sugar?
