Kimchi Jjigae
Dear kimchi lovers, this recipe is for you! Kimchi Jjigae (김치찌개) is one of Korea's most popular and well-known dishes. For this kimchi stew, we tend to use riper (more fermented) kimchi, because of the rich flavour. Serve the stew with a steamy bowl of rice and you'll have the perfect comfort meal.Servings

We really enjoyed this one at our house. It had a very sour taste which is, I suspect, due to the kimchi we used. I'm looking forward to trying it again using a different kimchi for comparison.
I cooked this the same day I visited our asian supermarket. I found so many exciting ingredients there and of the fresh ones was water spinach. I fried this quickly with soy sauce but if you happen to have a water spinach recipe yourselves or coming soon I look forward to trying it.😄
Absolutely superb!! I love how spicy this stew is. I am big mushroom fan, so I enjoyed the mushrooms/tofu/rice combo with a spoonful of the sauce.
This is a hidden gem!
Hot and spicy ! Perfect for winter days 🍜
Made a Korean dinner last nite and the vegan kimchee jjigae & oi muchim were my go-to picks. Turned out great!
🙂👍
Really good and great winter food! I mostly followed the recipe - I didn't put Kombu in as didn't have any, and I reduced the amount of kimchi a little as I didn't want it too spicy, air fried my Tofu and added Kale at the end. I don't think any of what I changed was necessary though - it was just doing it for my own taste. Came out perfectly and I'll be adding it into my regular rotation this winter. Very easy and quick to make too!
This app is amazing and exactly what I've been looking for. I'm on android, so I have been waiting for it, and it hasn't disappointed!
Hello,
Hot and spicy soups are perfect for cold days and this one is particularly filling and comforting.
There is a little mistake, you say to cook the rice twice at step 1 and 4.
Any way, it is a great recip, thank you!
