Oven-Baked Onion Rings

It was really good. The flavour was amazing. There were some onions that stayed soft. Does someone know what I can do next time?

So happy you enjoyed the flavour, Danielle 😊 If some rings stayed soft, it’s usually from extra moisture. Keeping them close to 1 cm thick, spacing them out well on the tray, and making sure the oven is fully preheated can really help. You can always bake in batches if desired, as fewer onions in the oven means less moisture. Flipping once halfway through baking also improves crispiness 🙌

They looked a bit dry but tasted great!

This was so good! I had lots leftover and put them back in the oven the next day and they were remarkably crispy afterwards.

Next time I’m omitting or halving the onion powder.

I was doubting if this was going to work out when I saw the rings baking in the oven, looked kind of dry, but wrong! Soooo delicious!
