Easy to make, tastes complex, freezes well. Great recipe.

@PUL - I’ve cooked with yr app every day since the beginning ā˜ŗļø ✨ Could I make an app development suggestion? Could you mention if a recipe freezes well (or doesn’t freeze well, if that’s easier) as it would be really helpful for planning batch cooking? TY for the consideration!

Hi hi Louise, thank you so much for the kind words and for cooking with the app every day, that means so much to us! And yes, absolutely, great suggestion. We actually do our best to freeze each recipe during testing to see how it holds up. If a recipe freezes well, we note this in the storage notes, which you can find on the last page of Cook Along mode or under the directions on the recipe page. If you don't see any freezer instructions mentioned, it means we didn't feel the recipe froze well. Rather than explicitly stating that a recipe does not freeze well, we only include freezer notes when it is something we confidently recommend. Thank you again for taking the time to share feedback, and for being such a longtime supporter! <3

I'm not a fan of Moroccan cuisine, but I happened to have all the ingredients, including homemade seitan, so I gave it a shot. I'm still not super convinced about the flavor profile, but it's a great filling dish, perfect for those cozy winter dinners.

It looked quite liquidy and questionable at some point but it turned out super good :) especially with the cilantro. I substitued the seitan with tempeh because I couldn't find seitan in the Albert Heijn but tempeh works great as well!!

Thanks for sharing your experience with the recipe, Ruth, and the idea of using tempeh instead šŸ¤— In case it helps, we usually get our seitan from AH, it's by the Smaakt brand in a little black and green labelled jar. If you'd like, we also have a recipe for "Homemade Seitan - Mock Meat" and also a "Washed Flour Seitan") recipe✨
