Homemade Oreo Cookies

These cookies are absolutely delicious! It's just the perfect amount of sweetness I want in a cookie.

Just a tip for anyone making these: I found that the dough was too soft/sticky to work with. What worked for me was rolling the dough between 2 pieces of parchment paper and then putting it in the freezer on a baking sheet for 10-15 minutes. Then, I worked quickly to cut out circles and transfer them. If the dough started to get sticky, I would pop it back in the freezer again.

I can't wait to make these again ☺️

Just made these, they turned out great and are super delicious! The recipe was really easy to follow. They are very sweet but the rich chocolate biscuit helps to balance the sweet icing 😋

It's the most chaotic recipe l've tried on this app. The mixture was super wet (but it wasnt specified to be careful not to overmixed), it's was a disaster to spread on the "plate", therefore I couldn't shape 'em into a circle, so l just cooked it as it was, 10' weren't enought... so disappointed. The positive point is that it tasted good 👍

Oh no 🥺 We really appreciate you sharing your experience, Déborah, and we’re so sorry it felt chaotic! The dough for these cookies can be on the softer side, but it shouldn’t be wet. One possible reason is if the butter was melted instead of chilled - I’ll add a note to the recipe to make that clear, since that was missing before. Sorry about that. The only liquid ingredients are 2 tablespoons of milk and 1 teaspoon of vanilla, so the dough should still hold together. If it ever feels a little too wet, popping it in the fridge for a few minutes before rolling can make shaping much easier.
