The giveaway is organised by Pick Up Limes B.V., registered in the Netherlands (KvK 94392234), Ruysdaelhof 6, Eindhoven (the “Sponsor”). The giveaway is not sponsored, endorsed, or administered by any book retailer or by the publisher.

Entry period

The giveaway runs from 00:00 CEST on Monday 20 April 2026 until 23:59 CEST on Tuesday 20 October 2026 (the “Entry Period”). Entries received outside the Entry Period are not eligible.

Eligibility

The giveaway is open worldwide to natural persons who are 18 years or older (or the age of majority in their place of residence) at the time of entry. Employees of the Sponsor and their immediate family members may not enter. One entry per person; additional entries by the same person are counted once.

The giveaway is void wherever it is prohibited or restricted by law, and the Sponsor may withdraw it in any jurisdiction where legal requirements change during the Entry Period.

Please note: prize-draw eligibility is separate from the pre-order gifts. The bonus recipe pack and free in-app access to those recipes are available to anyone who pre-orders the book, anywhere in the world.

How to enter

There are two ways to enter, and both carry the same odds of winning:

  • With a pre-order: claim your pre-order gifts through the form at pickuplimes.com/book/simply-plants-preorder-gift/verify/ during the Entry Period. Your entry is automatically included in the draw.
  • Without a purchase (free entry): email us at [email protected] with the subject line “Simply Plants Giveaway Entry”, stating your name and country of residence, during the Entry Period. No purchase, payment, or proof of purchase is required for this entry method.

Prizes

Ten (10) winners will each receive one lifetime subscription to the Pick Up Limes mobile app, tied to one personal account. The approximate retail value of each prize is USD $195 (total approximate retail value: USD $1,950). Prizes are personal, non-transferable, and cannot be exchanged for cash or another product. If a winner already holds an active subscription, the prize is applied to their account as a lifetime upgrade.

What “lifetime” means: access continues for as long as Pick Up Limes goes on offering the mobile app subscription service, and not for the lifetime of the winner. The prize has no expiry date and the winner is never charged a renewal fee. If the app or its subscription service is discontinued, access ends at that point, and the Sponsor will give reasonable advance notice where it is able to. Lifetime access is to the subscription service as it exists from time to time: it does not guarantee that any particular feature, recipe or piece of content remains available, since the app continues to change.

Odds of winning

The odds of winning depend on the total number of eligible entries received.

Winner selection and notification

Winners are selected by random draw from all eligible entries within fourteen (14) days after the Entry Period ends. Winners are notified by email at the address they entered with, and must respond within fourteen (14) days of notification; otherwise an alternate winner is drawn.

Personal data

Entry details are used solely to administer the giveaway and are handled as described in our privacy policy. Free-entry emails are deleted after the winners have been confirmed. Winners' first names and country of residence may be announced in Sponsor channels only with their prior consent.

General conditions

The Sponsor may disqualify entries that are fraudulent, automated, or otherwise breach these rules, and may modify, suspend, or cancel the giveaway if fraud or technical failure compromises its fair operation. The Sponsor's decisions on all giveaway matters are final. Where a prize attracts tax, the Sponsor accounts for Dutch gaming tax where legally required; winners are responsible for any taxes applicable in their own country. These rules are governed by Dutch law, and the courts of the Netherlands have jurisdiction over any dispute, without limiting mandatory consumer protections that apply in your country of residence.
