Ingredients

  • 8.8 oz (250 g)
    dry linguine noodles
  • 2 tsp (10 mL)
    olive oil
  • 1
    medium onion, chopped
  • 3
    cloves garlic, minced
  • 2
roasted red bell peppers from a jar, chopped
  • 2 cups (60 g)
    fresh spinach, chopped
  • 1½ Tbsp (25 g)
    tomato paste
  • 1
    vegetable bouillon cube, crushed
  • 2 Tbsp (30 mL)
  • 1 Tbsp (3 g)
    dried oregano
  • ½ tsp
    paprika powder
  • ¼ tsp
    salt, plus more to taste
  • ½ cup (120 mL)
water, reserved from pasta cooking water
  • 1 cup (240 mL)
    soy cooking cream
  • 1 cup (138 g)
    frozen green peas
  • 3 Tbsp (25 g)
    roasted pine nuts
  • ½
    lemon, zested, juiced

Optional garnish

Directions

  1. Cook the pasta according to the package instructions, stopping 1 minute before it's al dente. Reserve the pasta cooking water when draining the pasta.
  2. Meanwhile, add the oil to a sautΓ© pan on high heat. While the oil heats up, chop the onion and add it to the pan to cook for 4 - 5 minutes.
  3. Meanwhile, mince the garlic, and chop the roasted red bell peppers and spinach.
  4. Add the garlic to the pot to cook for 2 minutes, stirring often. When lightly golden, add in the tomato paste, bouillon cube, harissa, oregano, paprika powder, and salt, and cook this for another 2 minutes.
  5. Add some of the reserved pasta cooking water to the pan*.
  6. Add the drained pasta to the pan as well, along with all the remaining ingredients: the cooking cream, peas, nutritional yeast, pine nuts, bell pepper, and spinach.
  7. Once heated through, add some lemon zest (optional) and squeeze over the lemon juice. Garnish and enjoy!

Notes

  • †Harissa offers a deep tangy and spicy flavour, so add less if you'd prefer less heat.
  • * If scaling the recipe, start with adding less reserved pasta water, then add more as desired to reach the desired creaminess.

Delicious with a nice punch of lemon! πŸ’š

Laura - March 29, 2024, 11:06 a.m.

I used only one teaspoon of harissa and it was enough for me. Great, easy and fast recepie! Love it!

Helen Franziska - March 27, 2024, 8:34 p.m.

fast and delicious ✨

Cathrine Buhaug - March 25, 2024, 8:33 p.m.

So delicious. Love the dept of flavour that harrisa paste gives, and the little sting. One of my go-to pasta dishesπŸ˜„

Eli - March 23, 2024, 11:47 p.m.

Home run tonight!
Tasty…spicy…My bf is in love with this pasta recipe! Never thought that he would love another pasta even more than from his favorite trattoria place.
Very easy to make and super delicious!
Thank you for sharing 😊🌱

PUL Team - March 26, 2024, 12:02 p.m.

Thank YOU for making it Eli, so glad to hear it was such a hit! πŸ”₯

Jonathan - March 23, 2024, 9:23 a.m.

Really wonderful recipe, easy to make and very flavorful.
I noticed a small mistake in step 6, the spinach and the bell pepper are missing from the ingredient list (they are mentioned in the text though, but sometimes I just look at the list which threw me off for a second).

PUL Team - March 25, 2024, 4:06 p.m.

Hey Johnathan, I'm glad you enjoyed the pasta and thanks for sharing the feedback! If I'm not mistaken, you're talking about the ingredient 'missing' from the cook-along mode within the app. If so, you're not seeing it in step 6 because it was already listed in step 3 where it was prepared. Each ingredient is only linked to a single step, and we recommended prepping the spinach and bell pepper in step 3 while the onion is cooking to help speed the recipe along. We refrain from linking the ingredients again in step 6 as it might confuse some people into thinking they need twice the amount of spinach and bell pepper. I hope this helps clear things up for now 🫢✨

Jonathan - March 27, 2024, 12:45 p.m.

Ahhh then i understand, thank you!

Padmini - March 19, 2024, 2:05 p.m.

This dish never disappointed me and always cooks up with the same taste every time I make. Thank you PUL team for this wonderful quick make recipe!!

Melanie Braun - March 13, 2024, 11:09 p.m.

Very delicious and easy recipe!

Jessica - March 10, 2024, 10:07 p.m.

One of my favorites!! Quick, flavorful, and great for meal prep. The only change i make is using blended cashews instead of soy cooking cream.

Courtney - March 2, 2024, 6:26 a.m.

Love this recipe! Delicious.

Γ–znur - Feb. 28, 2024, 8:38 p.m.

This recipe was so delicious! I put less harissa and lemon than suggested. The pine nuts are a great addition so I'd not skip it:)

Kayla - Feb. 26, 2024, 7:37 a.m.

We swapped edamame for the peas and it turned out quite well - we'd use a bit less harissa in the future just to fit my husband's spice preference better.

Jennifer Jonker-Rose - Feb. 22, 2024, 6:54 p.m.

Oh my this was so good!! It now is my husband’s favorite 😊 heerlijk!

Nova - Feb. 18, 2024, 10:46 p.m.

Really good! 😍 Used a bit less Harissa sauce & lemon to fit my personal taste. I didn’t have bell peppers in a jar so I roasted some myself in the air fryer. Also subbed the green peas for red lentils! πŸ₯°

PUL Team - Feb. 19, 2024, 12:53 a.m.

Mmm sounds incredible, Nova! Were so thrilled that the harissa pasta was enjoyed πŸ˜ƒ

Abigail Brandenburg - Feb. 18, 2024, 4:25 a.m.

This is a staple dish we have a couple times a month in my house now. I actually craved it during my pregnancy at one point so I had it for dinner every night for like… two weeks. It’s just yum.

Amelie - Feb. 17, 2024, 5:53 p.m.

I've made this delicious pasta serveral times now and it's always amazing.
Just one thing about the recipe: it says that you should reserve 120ml of cooking water. This doesn't scale up or down if you choose to make a larger/smaller amount. It would be cool if it did!

PUL Team - Feb. 18, 2024, 4:49 a.m.

Hey Amelie, so glad you're enjoying the pasta and thanks for the feedback! It's so appreciated so we can improve. We've just updated the recipe, including the cooking water in the ingredient list so that it scales with the serving sizes - we hope the way it's written up is clear and helps! πŸ€—

Trista - Feb. 17, 2024, 2:15 p.m.

Such a good comfort food. Whole family loved it :)

Anna - Feb. 7, 2024, 8:31 p.m.

Another amazing and very simple recipe! Have made this several times and everyone always loves it. It’s the perfect combination of spicy, sour and sweet. Thank you!

Shanna - Feb. 6, 2024, 7:21 a.m.

This looks amazing! Is there a reason the recipe specifies dried pasta or can I use fresh?

PUL Team - Feb. 6, 2024, 8:18 a.m.

Hey Shanna, mostly for ease - you can use fresh pasta if you prefer! Just adjust the cooking time accordingly πŸ€—

Izzi - Jan. 31, 2024, 12:51 a.m.

Another delicious dish and refreshing change from tomato sauce pasta.

Ina - Jan. 23, 2024, 2:21 p.m.

Delicious and nutritious - as always!! Used my homemade harissa paste and can highly recommend to try that too! Adds an additional yum-factor :)

Athina - Jan. 21, 2024, 5:08 p.m.

Creamy and delicious!

Maeve - Jan. 20, 2024, 10:51 p.m.

We liked this recipe a lot, however it is a bit heavy on the stomach. The taste is amazing and it is easy! We made it multiple times.

Ajit K - Jan. 20, 2024, 4:07 a.m.

My cooking skills aren’t as good as Robin, so it took me more than 20 minutes to make this Pasta. It was so worth it. Super delicious and creamy πŸ˜‹. I will certainly make this again

Shilow Wiklund - Jan. 19, 2024, 6:02 a.m.

Love the flavor

emily d - Jan. 19, 2024, 2:35 a.m.

I made this and kind of switched it up a bit unintentionally. (I didn’t use the app so maybe my mistake was made there.) Used coconut milk, almonds instead of pine nuts, and sundried tomatoes instead of bell peppers. Turned out great! Happy mistakes!

PUL Team - Jan. 19, 2024, 5:54 a.m.

Gotta love happy mistakes! So glad that the harissa pasta was still enjoyed, Emily πŸ€—

DH - Jan. 12, 2024, 12:49 a.m.

Family’s favorite dish!

Melissa - Jan. 5, 2024, 2 p.m.

So good! I love the unique flavors in this and all the secret added nutrients. We have trouble finding harissa sauce in our local stores, but they do have harissa seasoning/powder in the spice aisle. We mix equal parts of the powder with water and oil to make our own sauce. Works like a charm!

PUL Team - Jan. 5, 2024, 8:47 p.m.

Ooo thanks for the tip, Melissa, it's so appreciated πŸ˜ƒ

Alise Bērziņa - Jan. 1, 2024, 3:57 p.m.

Wow, blown away by the flavors in this pasta! Creamy, ever so slightly spicy, great addition of crunchy pine nuts. Pretty easy to make as well. Definitely on repeat!

We're so thrilled that the pasta is being enjoyed, Evangelia, it means so much!

Kat - Dec. 4, 2023, 6:15 p.m.

Very nice, filling, and spicy. Good comfort food that can be made quickly.

Lara - Dec. 3, 2023, 9:24 p.m.

swapped the soy cream for hummus, for a more budget friendly and badly equipped supermarket version, still super nice and flavorful! Thank You PUL team :)

PUL Team - Dec. 4, 2023, 4:33 a.m.

A lovely idea! Thanks, Lara ☺️

Tonka Dolenec - Nov. 11, 2023, 7:31 p.m.

Ewa - Aug. 20, 2023, 9:44 p.m.

Absolutely perfect dish - gained a comfort food status by now, delicious and works every time!

Olivia - Aug. 20, 2023, 3:05 p.m.

Absolutely delicious. I used whole wheat pasta, and coconut cream instead and it worked wonders.

k.Rosa - Aug. 20, 2023, 9:44 a.m.

This dish always gets so many compliments! It’s so tasty and creamy and flavourful. I made this for my friend the other day. She had seconds and took a box of it home πŸ˜‚

PUL Team - Aug. 20, 2023, 9:18 p.m.

Aww we're so happy the harissa pasta is being enjoyed, k.Rosa, thank you 🀩

Laura - Aug. 16, 2023, 6:09 p.m.

Tried for the dinner πŸ₯³ and loved it so much πŸ˜‡ my harissa souce is pretty spicy so i used a little bit less. And i didnt have an onion but it was tasty without it as well 😍

PUL Team - Aug. 17, 2023, 3:58 a.m.

We're so glad the pasta was enjoyed, Laura, thank you!

Dani - Aug. 12, 2023, 4:43 p.m.

This is probably my favorite PUL recipe I have made to date. The complexity of the flavor, the layering and contrast of textures and tastes, the creaminess… The spiciness. The nutritional value. Everything about this RULES. Thank you PUL team!

PUL Team - Aug. 13, 2023, 7:27 a.m.

Awe yayy we're so happy the harissa pasta is being enjoyed, Dani!

ThΓ©o - July 1, 2023, 7:35 p.m.

Thanks a lot for this delightful recipe ;) It's become part of my regulars
PS: Love the creaminess and the kick of the harissa

Julia - June 6, 2023, 7:01 a.m.

I love this recipe so much! I haven't had access to harissa sauce, so I've been using sriracha. Now, I found some harissa spice blend. How do I go about incorporating it into this recipe? How much of it should I use?

PUL Team - June 6, 2023, 9:30 p.m.

Hey Julia! Harissa spice blends can vary in heat and spiciness so we'd suggest adding it gradually while tasting along the way. For example, you could start with a half or a full teaspoon. You could also add a bit of neutral vegetable oil, such as refined olive oil that doesn't impart the olive oil taste, to help coat the pasta with the blend πŸ€—

Rebeka - April 24, 2023, 4:33 p.m.

Every single time I try a new recipe by PUL, I think to myself "This is the best thing I've ever eaten!". And it was no different with this amazing harissa pasta! It was super creamy and warming without the harissa being too overpowering. I subbed some ingredients with the ones I had (I used homemade cashew cream instead of soya cream and walnuts instead of pine nuts) and it was still delicious! A massive plus is that it literally took me less than 20 mins to make! Will definitely be making this one again! Thank you PUL, again :)

PUL Team - April 24, 2023, 6:47 p.m.

Aw we're so thrilled to hear, Rebeka - thank you for the glowing review and for sharing your experience with the recipe! It means so much πŸ₯°

Was echt lekker. Zeker voor herhaling vatbaar.

Martunia - March 17, 2023, 9:10 a.m.

I batch made this one for the week using lentil pasta for extra protein. The spiciness was just on point. And I loved the sneaky addition if spinach. You can barely even see it in the sauce when it cooks down but it adds the leafy nutrients to the meal which I'm all about 😊

PUL Team - March 18, 2023, 3:01 a.m.

So glad the pasta is being enjoyed, Martunia, thank you πŸ€—

Poel - March 8, 2023, 5:57 p.m.

Heeeeeeeeeeeerlijk!!

Gabrielle - Feb. 27, 2023, 4:50 a.m.

Super delicious and easy to make substitutions!
I used about 1/3 cup tahini and 2/3 cups pasta water instead of cooking cream and it worked really well.

PUL Team - Feb. 28, 2023, 6:24 a.m.

Ooo a lovely idea, Gabrielle - it means so much πŸ˜ƒ

Athina - Feb. 20, 2023, 1:33 p.m.

Thanks for taking the time to share, Alba!

Joana - Feb. 11, 2023, 9:47 a.m.

It was my first time cooking with harissa (your recipes always have me try new things, thank you!!) and I found it too spicy for me, so next time I will add a little bit less :) But I think a spicy-lover would love this recipe!

PUL Team - Feb. 11, 2023, 5:11 p.m.

Thanks for taking the time to share, Joana! Adding less harissa is a lovely modification for less kick πŸ™‚

Marie - Feb. 9, 2023, 11:43 p.m.

Definitly one of my favorite pasta dish!! I discovered Harissa because of this recipe and I now use it in other recipe. Thank you so much for all the deliciousness you share with the world!

PUL Team - Feb. 10, 2023, 6:28 a.m.

So happy to hear, Marie, it means so much!

Prerna Bansal - Feb. 7, 2023, 10:26 p.m.

Hello. Thank you for amazing recipes. I love both your recipes and attitude. From nutritional standpoint, is it OK to use tomato paste considering a lot of it is preserved with salt? Can tomato paste be replaced with fresh tomatoes? I understand the reason to speed up cooking and prep time, paste is definitely helpful buttrying to find more about nutritional vales.

PUL Team - Feb. 8, 2023, 4:59 a.m.

Hey Prerna, thanks for the question! Tomato paste has a much more concentrated taste than fresh tomatoes so aside from the speed it also offers benefits for taste. Since the amount of tomato paste used tends to be relatively small we don't typically worry much about the salt. Everyone is different though in their preferences and needs!

Many canned tomato products come in a no-salt-added version which you could try to find. Alternatively, you can use fresh tomatoes too. Just be sure to give the pasta a taste and adjust as it may be less flavorful initially πŸ™‚

Prerna Bansal - Feb. 26, 2023, 11:58 p.m.

Thank you 😊

Sarah - Jan. 31, 2023, 7 p.m.

My non vegan family loves this one ! I just add less harissa because my 6 year old doesn’t like it too spicy !

PUL Team - Jan. 31, 2023, 7:07 p.m.

A lovely modification, Sarah, so happy to hear!

Divya chandramohan - Jan. 27, 2023, 2:12 p.m.

Jasmeen - Jan. 2, 2023, 12:53 a.m.

This a staple dinner at our house

Marie - Nov. 22, 2022, 12:58 a.m.

This dish tastes amazing! Thank you so much!

Elise - Nov. 4, 2022, 10:10 p.m.

WHAT IN THE WORLD?! This was my first time making this and it was outrageously delicious and so fast?! It's also my first time ever trying harissa, thank you so much for your amazing recipes and wonderful videos, they always leave me feeling so inspired to nourish myself and those around me <3 (and apart from gathering ingredients, I think I spent about 18 minutes in total! 30 from start to food-in-mouth :p)

PUL Team - Nov. 5, 2022, 12:12 a.m.

Oh, Elise, you're much too kind! We're so thrilled the pasta was enjoyed and thank you for taking the time to share your experience with it :D

Ella - Oct. 30, 2022, 9:41 p.m.

Great recipe, but I'm afraid I have a problem with the estimated tie given!
Prep 5mins? Takes me 5 mins to peel and cut up the onion even! Should be more time!

Also, in ur Video, he does it in 16 mins and is realy rushing it the whole way.

Guys I love your recipes and videos , I think your great!
Its not just you who exaggerates the total time... I don't understand why. ^^'

PUL Team - Nov. 2, 2022, 3:57 a.m.

Hey Ella, thanks for taking the time to share your experience with the pasta. A lot of the prep happens while other things are cooking, so we didn't include the prep time for these (example chopping the spinach or garlic) because it would make the total time longer than it actually is. I hope this makes sense πŸ€—

Ella - Nov. 3, 2022, 12:19 p.m.

Good answere but I'm not convinced! ;)

What about the video, where the guy manages in 16 mins, while realy rushing ^^

Stine - April 22, 2023, 5:35 p.m.

Hi Ella - Have you seen the intro to the video? Here they explain the circumstances of the recipes - including why Robin makes them and why he is in a hurry. I personally think it's quite a nice and honest way of presenting it. In this way you can assess your own pace and skills in relation to his.

Sylvia - Oct. 15, 2022, 10:37 a.m.

Soooooo good! I now cook this every (other) week <3 Thank you.

PUL Team - Oct. 16, 2022, 6:48 p.m.

We're so happy it's being enjoyed, Sylvia!

Dana - Oct. 11, 2022, 10:10 a.m.

Jamie Rogers - Sept. 23, 2022, 1:38 a.m.

Such a great recipe! Flavorful, diverse, filling and protein packed! I used 1.5 tbsp. of the Harissa and it was plenty. Thanks PUL team for another delicious addition! Had never heard of Harissa before this recipe and now excited to continue cooking more with it.

PUL Team - Sept. 23, 2022, 3:23 a.m.

So glad to hear, Jamie, thank you! Harissa is one of our favourites. In case you're interested and haven't already seen it, we have a recipe for Harissa Spiced Beans here: https://www.pickuplimes.com/r…

Kim - Sept. 18, 2022, 8:44 p.m.

Is there a substitute for the plant based cooking cream? I am having a difficult time finding that. Thanks!

PUL Team - Sept. 19, 2022, 5:36 p.m.

Hey Kim, yes! Some ideas include full-fat coconut milk, an alternative plant-based cream (such as almond cooking cream, a homemade creamer (such as pulverized cashews in water), or an unsweetened plant-based milk (such as oat milk). We hope you enjoy the pasta if you're able to give it a try πŸ˜ƒ

Carolyn - Sept. 15, 2022, 1:43 a.m.

This dish was fantastic! My die-hard, meat-eating, β€œI’m not eating vegan” husband loved this dish. Definitely keeping this in rotation every week or so.

Aw we're so thrilled the recipe was enjoyed, Carolyn, it means so much πŸ™‚

Aaron - Aug. 30, 2022, 11:07 p.m.

A dish with a rich repertoire of flavours blended within a creamy texture. And like many of the other recipes on this website, it doesn’t disappoint!

PUL Team - Aug. 31, 2022, 5:33 p.m.

Such a big compliment, Aaron, thank you 😊

Alina - Aug. 22, 2022, 12:52 p.m.

Just cooked it and it was REALLY good! Thank you!

Anna - Aug. 19, 2022, 2 p.m.

So I got my hands on some harissa and have been experimenting with it. I made this pasta a while back, loved it, so today I made it again, but as a risotto. Turned out great! Maybe next time it will be a pizza. :D
Thank you for the great recipe!

PUL Team - Aug. 19, 2022, 2:05 p.m.

Ooo we're so happy to hear, Anna! Risotto and pizza sound lovely πŸ˜ƒ

TweeterV - Aug. 17, 2022, 7:43 p.m.

Favourite meal of my husband who won’t eat vegan food !

Irene the Greek - Aug. 12, 2022, 1:54 p.m.

very good and easy meal, although I couldn't find Harissa in the local arabic supermarket in Germany where I live.

PUL Team - Aug. 13, 2022, 7:40 a.m.

So glad it was enjoyed, Irene! Sometimes we find harissa in the international section of larger grocery stores or online πŸ™‚

Florentina - Aug. 10, 2022, 4:10 p.m.

Hi, I really want to try this, but I cannot find harrisa sauce in my home country. Do you have a suggestion about a good substitute? I have Sambal Oelek and Sriracha, but I'm not sure which might fit better.

PUL Team - Aug. 11, 2022, 2:56 p.m.

Hey Florentina, yes you can use an alternative chili paste or sauce, such as sambal oelek or sriracha. You may prefer sambal oelek since it has a more similar texture although we'd recommend giving the pasta a taste and adding more if needed πŸ™‚

Suzanne - Aug. 8, 2022, 4:36 p.m.

Love this quick to pull together, mid-week dinner. Packed with flavour - we use a homemade cashew cream rather than soy cream to add the creamy texture.

PUL Team - Aug. 10, 2022, 8:12 a.m.

Ooo that sounds lovely, Suzanne, thanks for taking the time to share!

Dagmar - July 14, 2022, 8:14 a.m.

My friend and I loved this one so much. It's the perfect balance between bold and creamy. Because I'm a bit of a baby mouth, I used Rose harissa :).

PUL Team - July 14, 2022, 7:47 p.m.

So happy to hear the pasta was enjoyed, Dagmar, thank you :)

Syd - July 6, 2022, 11:48 p.m.

Super creamy and flavorful with just a little kick of spice in the background. I love the peas in this dish as well. I used sliced almonds soaked in hot water then blended for the cooking cream. I already made this dish twice, and definitely will be making it again!

PUL Team - July 7, 2022, 1:29 a.m.

A lovely idea, Syd, and so glad the pasta is being enjoyed!

Laura - June 24, 2022, 12:19 p.m.

Delicious and easy weeknight meal. (I reduced the harissa to 1 tbsp )

Dee - June 24, 2022, 8:40 a.m.

Love this recipe. Made it quite a few times now. My teenage kids like it too. I have to tone down the harrisa amount otherwise it will blow your mouth off. Perhaps the paste in the UK is different. It's such a balanced meal too.

You are making/vegan/plantbased/whole food plant based eating BRILLIANT.

PUL Team - June 25, 2022, 5:40 p.m.

We're so thrilled to hear, Dee! The paste can vary slightly depending on the brand but we're so glad the pasta was still enjoyed ☺️

Shriya - June 23, 2022, 7:37 p.m.

I haven't tasted yet but it looks delicious! Left out the coconut milk and nutritional yeast as I thought it was creamy enough, and added in some roasted broccoli and carrots! I also couldn't find harissa paste anywhere near me, so harissa seasoning had to do but I still think it worked ^_^ If I had planned properly, this would have definitely been a 20-minute-and-under meal!

PUL Team - June 25, 2022, 5:33 p.m.

Ooo thanks for sharing your adjustments, Shriya! We hope you enjoy the pasta πŸ˜ƒ

Lauren - June 16, 2022, 2:41 a.m.

Didn't have harissa so I used a different hot sauce - turned out great!
Added extra veggies and swapped for cashew cream to have more protein - an excellent buildable dish and cooking goes so fast!

PUL Team - June 17, 2022, 7:34 a.m.

Love the modifications, Lauren, and thank you for taking the time to share πŸ˜ƒ

Joanne - June 10, 2022, 1:06 p.m.

Amazing!

Amelia - June 9, 2022, 10:07 a.m.

Amazing flavours, super creamy, can see myself making this on repeat through winter! Adding mushrooms next time to up the veg (& also think they would be great in recipe anyway!)

PUL Team - June 10, 2022, 7:25 p.m.

Mmm mushrooms are a delicious idea, Amelia! Thank you πŸ™‚

Kyle D. Craig - June 4, 2022, 2:14 a.m.

Jennifer McMillan - June 3, 2022, 6:46 p.m.

I have just started looking through your site and trying your recipes. Had to post as I’ve made this for the first time today and it was so delicious. Was worried it might have too much of a kick for me but it was just enough. Will def be making regular.

PUL Team - June 4, 2022, 2:59 a.m.

We're so glad to hear, Jennifer, do let us know if you have any other feedback. Happy cooking!

Sara - April 24, 2022, 4:45 p.m.

It was amazing!!

Maja - April 21, 2022, 6:13 p.m.

Hi,
I was wondering if I could substitute harissa powder for the harissa sauce. The powder is one of my pantry stables so I am curious if the final product would be very similar or if it makes a bit difference. I read online that I could use a 1:1:1 or 2:2:1 ratio of harissa powder, oil and water.

PS. I absolutly love the whole blog and all the recipes !

PUL Team - April 22, 2022, 5:22 a.m.

Hi Maja! Thanks for the kind words and question. You can use harissa powder if desired. It may be worthwhile to start with less (such as just 1 tbsp) and add more to taste. Sometimes powders can be a tad more concentrated and have an extra kick to them 😊

Lana - April 20, 2022, 6:41 p.m.

Loved this recipe
Added some fresh turnip greens and pistachio instead of pine nuts. No complaints from the kids, which is an amazing sign!

PUL Team - April 20, 2022, 6:57 p.m.

A lovely substitution idea, Lana, and we're so thrilled the kids enjoyed it too πŸ˜ƒ

Loes - April 15, 2022, 6:21 p.m.

Yes it is easy to make and really tasty ! especially the next day !

PUL Team - April 16, 2022, 7:59 a.m.

Thank you, Loes!

Annalor - April 12, 2022, 7:55 p.m.

My absolute favorite pasta recipe. I cook this once a week. I usually mix up the veggies according to what I have and often use frozen Peas and spinach
Delicious and super easy and now that i remember to start the pasta water first its ready in half an hour

PUL Team - April 13, 2022, 3:07 a.m.

A lovely tip and so glad it's being enjoyed, Annalor!

Kristina Wong - April 12, 2022, 6:44 a.m.

This recipe was so delicious! I used a fresh red pepper and sautΓ©ed it for 5-7 mins and then substituted coconut milk for part of the sauce, such a flavorful and satisfying recipe with the harissa spice. Thank you!!

PUL Team - April 13, 2022, 2:22 a.m.

Ooo that sounds delicious, Kristina! Thanks for sharing the modifications with us ✨

Charlotte - April 7, 2022, 9:57 p.m.

I just made this recipe for the second time ever this evening and we loved it!! I can't believe I haven't tried harissa in any dishes before because it is a sure fire winner! I love the ratio of sauce to pasta and all the extras added into the sauce alongside the pasta.
I used brown rice spaghetti this evening which is one of the first successful types of GF spaghetti which doesn't break up when stirred into a recipe! Double success! πŸ†πŸ™ŒπŸ»

PUL Team - April 10, 2022, 5:27 a.m.

Aw it means so much, Charlotte, thanks a bunch! The brown rice spaghetti tip is also very helpful πŸ˜ƒ

Steven - April 1, 2022, 8:08 a.m.

You two have a lot to answer for. This 70 year old’s life is changing, most definitely for the better. I am growing my own food and learning new ways to cook, often alongside my granddaughters. Most of the time they teach me, but secretly I know where the long lasting benefits are taking root. I have tried each of the three 20 minute meals and I can’t thank you enough for the gentle and intelligent guidance running through all your work. Take a bow superstars.
Best wishes from Yorkshire, England.

PUL Team - April 1, 2022, 5:34 p.m.

Oh dearest Steven, thank YOU for the kind words and inspiration! Growing your own food sounds incredible. It means so much that the PUL content is being enjoyed as well. Wishing you and your granddaughters an abundance of health and wellness πŸ’š

So glad to hear, Mark, thank you!

Angel - March 20, 2022, 7:32 p.m.

Oh my goodness, this is the most delicious pasta recipe. And so easy to make! I used coconut milk instead of vegan cream, and I roasted the red peppers myself - slowly roasted in olive oil with some whole garlic cloves, and it was delicious! I also used Rose harissa paste. We will be making this regularly. Thank you so much for all the work you do and for such a gorgeous website. We are in love with your recipes and they never fail to deliver.

PUL Team - March 21, 2022, 2:22 a.m.

Mmm sounds lovely, Angel, thank you! We appreciate the kind words so much πŸ₯°

This recipe is amazing. So much flavor and so easy to make. I now make this a regular in my menu rotation. Let's also talk about how it's not possible to watch PUL videos without smiling. Their videos are a great example of the positive impact one can have on people's emotions. I highly recommend!!!

marlot - March 13, 2022, 6:39 p.m.

this was absolutely delightful! i used rose harissa since my family isn’t the biggest fan of spice (which tasted great) but i think it’d be lovely with spicy harissa as well, definitely want to try that. my entire family loved this one, it was really really delicious!

PUL Team - March 14, 2022, 2:26 a.m.

A lovely modification, Marlot - it means so much that the pasta was enjoyed!

Alina - March 11, 2022, 4:47 p.m.

We're so thrilled the pasta is being enjoyed, Elle, thank you ☺️

Autumn - March 9, 2022, 4:15 a.m.

Just made this tonight with my family!! It turned out sooo delicious :) I love the addition of spinach and peas, makes for a really unique taste! I couldn’t find Soy cooking cream here in the states but I did substitute silken tofu and it worked so well!! Thank you so much for this recipe, adding it to our cookbook binder of yummy recipes :D

PUL Team - March 10, 2022, 8:04 a.m.

Oooh sounds lovely, Autumn, thanks for sharing the modifications! It's so appreciated ✨

Romane - March 5, 2022, 2:38 p.m.

It's really flavourefull ! My boyfriend and I just loved it. I used an hot sauce instead of the harissa one. It was just a bit hot ahah. I think now we are aware of the amount we need for us ^^ Thanks for this recipe, it was really fast to make it

PUL Team - March 5, 2022, 7:31 p.m.

So glad it was enjoyed, Romane! This one indeed has a bit of a kick to it 🌢

Christiana - March 2, 2022, 9:17 p.m.

Can we use Sriracha instead of harissa?

PUL Team - March 2, 2022, 11:44 p.m.

Hey Christiana! Yes, you can use sriracha or an alternative hot sauce in place of the harissa. We'd recommend giving the pasta a taste and adding more herbs or salt to taste if you think it needs it 😊

Kiani - March 2, 2022, 8:36 p.m.

I just wanted to comment on the user experience and aesthetic and design and photography of your website! everything is truly amazing! I’m obsessed! Love seeing the growth of this brand.

My family loved this creamy, flavorful pasta! My 9 year old couldn’t get enough. We have lots of leftover ingredients from making it so we’ll probably have it again this week!

PUL Team - March 2, 2022, 2:21 a.m.

Woohoo! We're so glad the pasta was enjoyed, Becca 😊

Sofia - March 1, 2022, 3:02 a.m.

Ilona - Feb. 28, 2022, 6:34 p.m.

This is my new favourite meal! So delicious :)

Linda P. - Feb. 28, 2022, 6:29 p.m.

I made this just as written with the substitute of coconut milk. Delicious blend of flavors and textures! My husband found it a bit too spicy although I loved it with the two full tablespoons of harissa. I'll decrease the harissa by half next time, though, for his sake.

PUL Team - Feb. 28, 2022, 8:42 p.m.

So glad it was enjoyed, Linda! Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with the pasta :)

Clara - Feb. 28, 2022, 8:22 a.m.

This recipe is great !! Normally I cannot really heat a lot of hot spices in a dish but here it worked great and I love the outcome !!

PUL Team - Feb. 28, 2022, 8:12 p.m.

It means so much, Clara, thank you!

Robbie - Feb. 27, 2022, 10:55 p.m.

Harissa is a staple in our house, and this recipe didn't disappoint. We used coconut milk as a substitute, and it was delicious. The lemon zest and juice is a must, so don't skip that part.

Thanks for sharing so many amazing whole food recipes. I had gotten away from cooking over the past few years, and your blog is just what I needed to rekindle my love of plant-based cooking. My family sure appreciates it too! As a family, we're working our way through your recipes and having a lot of fun doing it. All the best from Canada πŸ‡¨πŸ‡¦

PUL Team - Feb. 28, 2022, 8:02 p.m.

Aw we appreciate the kind words and support so much, Robbie, thank you! How fun to be getting back into cooking. Sending love to Canada ❣️

Melissa B - Feb. 27, 2022, 12:23 a.m.

AMAZING! I didn't think I would like it so much, but it's definitely going to be on a regular rotation in my house!

PUL Team - Feb. 28, 2022, 6:54 p.m.

So glad it was enjoyed, Melissa!

Detti - Feb. 26, 2022, 10:29 a.m.

Simply amazing! I added some sun-dried tomatoes as well because I had some leftover and it came out perfectly! I can’t wait to eat again! πŸ™ˆ
Thanks for sharing the recipe! ❀️

PUL Team - Feb. 26, 2022, 9:12 p.m.

Mmm a delicious addition! Thank YOU, Detti πŸ˜ƒ

Keerthana - Feb. 25, 2022, 5:09 p.m.

I just made this and OMG!! It was absolutely delicious. I subbed the soy cream for cashew cream and added some broccolini. This is definitely going to be a regular on our dinner table! Thank you for this wonderful recipe! ❀️

PUL Team - Feb. 26, 2022, 7:26 p.m.

A lovely substitution, Keerthana, and broccolini sounds amazing!

Babs - Feb. 25, 2022, 10:17 a.m.

Made this recipe last night… sooo good!!! Delicious, as are all of your (pasta) recipes I’ve already tried. ☺️
The PUL-site makes a huge difference in transitioning to a vegan lifestyle!
Bedankt, Sadia!

This is the first pasta recipe I tried from the site and we loved it!! Thank you so much for these amazing content!

PUL Team - Feb. 23, 2022, 7:23 a.m.

Woohoo! It means so much, Eva, thank YOU :)

Patti Fitzgibbons - Feb. 22, 2022, 11:19 a.m.

I made this with lentil pasta. It came out really good as far as taste, but I could have cooked the noodles longer.
I then baked it for 15 minutes. I didn’t have roasted red bell peppers so I used more harissa sauce. A little more heat!!! And I only had frozen spinach. I wanted to try this recipe so bad that I used what I had - didn’t have time to go to the store.
Nice to have a hearty dish without feeling bloated or overly full!! Love your recipes!! Keep doing what you’re doing!!! Looking forward to a hard copy of your cookbook!

PUL Team - Feb. 23, 2022, 7:10 a.m.

Thanks so much for sharing your experience with the pasta, Lynn, it's so appreciated! Hopefully one day we can pursue a hard copy cookbook 😊

Ann - Feb. 22, 2022, 4:32 a.m.

Wowowow this was SO DELICIOUS and will definitely be made again. I already can’t wait to wat the leftovers again for lunch tomorrow! I can never find dairy free cooking cream in my grocery stores so I substituted with 1 cup of 2 parts oat milk, one part olive oil.

PUL Team - Feb. 22, 2022, 4:56 a.m.

A lovely substitution, Ann, and we're so glad the pasta was enjoyed!

AniLeonte - Feb. 20, 2022, 2:07 p.m.

This was delicious and easy, I didnt have roasted red bell pepper so instead I added some half dry tomatoes in oil and it worked fantastic too. Very yummy, thank you for your beautiful work!

PUL Team - Feb. 20, 2022, 9:54 p.m.

Mmm a lovely idea! Thank you, AniLeonte πŸ˜ƒ

Anne - Feb. 19, 2022, 9:19 p.m.

Ik heb milde harissa pasta gebruikt en het was heerlijk! Bedankt voor het recept!

Celine H - Feb. 19, 2022, 5:43 p.m.

I just made this and it was UNBELIEVABLE!

Julia - Feb. 19, 2022, 1:28 a.m.

We had this tonight! Amazing! Thank you for your creative recipes and fun and beautiful videos.

PUL Team - Feb. 19, 2022, 4:41 a.m.

So happy the pasta was enjoyed, Julia - thank you 🌻

Shelby - Feb. 16, 2022, 2:16 a.m.

We made this for dinner and it is definitely a keeper! It even got approval from my veggie hating husband, and that is a feat! We added some extra harrisa because we like it spicy, but the spicy of the sauce mixed with the lemon and the sweet, snappy peas was just delicious!

PUL Team - Feb. 16, 2022, 10:04 p.m.

So thrilled it was enjoyed, Shelby, thank you πŸ˜ƒ

Liz - Feb. 16, 2022, 12:17 a.m.

Just made this for dinner and it’s delicious! I do think the spice level of your harissa will determine how much you add. I only put in 1/2 of what the recipe called for and my ears are still smoking, in a good way lol.

So if you can’t do a lot of spicy, maybe start out with a little harissa and add from there.

Also we don’t have vegan cooking cream where I live so I made my own cashew cream (3/4 c soaked raw cashews + 1/2 c water blended) and it worked really well.

Overall, a great dish and I’ll make it again.

PUL Team - Feb. 16, 2022, 9:42 p.m.

Hey Liz, thanks a bunch for sharing your experience with the pasta! It's so appreciated. We've gone in and added a blurb to the recipe notes to help avoid others adding too much harissa 😊

Curtis Dadson - Feb. 14, 2022, 10:46 p.m.

This was so delicious. Never heard of harissa sauce and I'm so glad you made this recipe. This is my favorite dish I've made of yours so far.

PUL Team - Feb. 14, 2022, 11:07 p.m.

Oh it means so much, Curtis, and we're so glad the pasta was enjoyed πŸ˜ƒ

Ophelie - Feb. 14, 2022, 1:51 p.m.

We just had this for lunch, it was delicious!!!

kaylin - Feb. 13, 2022, 8:32 p.m.

This is amazing, as usual. You literally make the most incredible pastas.

PUL Team - Feb. 14, 2022, 6:54 a.m.

Such a massive compliment, Kaylin, thank you!

T R - Feb. 12, 2022, 8:06 p.m.

Wow! Thought I would have leftovers but my family squashed that idea! It was delicious.

The easy-to-follow recipe is also ideal for beginning cooks, so I will let my teenagers try it next time.

PUL Team - Feb. 14, 2022, 3:08 a.m.

Aw so happy your family enjoyed it, T R! It's indeed a wonderful one for beginners 😊

Tessa - Feb. 11, 2022, 7:08 p.m.

Super lekker! En heel fijn dat alle ingrediΓ«nten in de supermarkt bij ons te krijgen zijn, omdat jullie in Nederland wonen :)

PUL Team - Feb. 14, 2022, 2:30 a.m.

Woohoo! Dank je wel, Tessa πŸ˜ƒ

Lela Anderson - Feb. 11, 2022, 3:52 a.m.

I absolutely loved this recipe, and it came together in a flash! We eat supper at six, and so I try to plan my recipes accordingly. Usually, if a recipe says it takes 20 minutes, it takes at least 45. Not this one! I started it, and then had to twiddle my thumbs for quite a while since it genuinely was going to be done in 20 minutes. I subbed Calabrian chili paste for the Harissa and added chopped preserved lemon to this since I had it, and it was absolutely amazing!

PUL Team - Feb. 11, 2022, 3:45 p.m.

We're so thrilled that the recipe was enjoyed and turned out within the estimated time, Lela! Thank you 😊

Tamar - Feb. 10, 2022, 11:08 p.m.

What a wonderful recipe! I admit I was a bit skeptical about mixing Harissa in a pasta sauce, but it turned out to be just perfect! And with the lemon as well... My husband and I just couldn't stop eating and enjoying. Definitely will prepare it again (:

PUL Team - Feb. 11, 2022, 1:39 a.m.

Woohoo! Beyond happy the pasta was enjoyed, Tamar 😊

Thibault - Feb. 10, 2022, 8:17 a.m.

I did not time myself but as I'm not a fast chopper, I'm pretty sure I did some overtime.
It was quite spicy, I would definitely reduce the amount harissa next time πŸ˜› but it was sooo tasty and creamy !
Also replaced the pepper by sun-dried tomatoes, and added some tomato tofu cubes for some more protein (was out of peas).

PUL Team - Feb. 11, 2022, 12:17 a.m.

So glad it was enjoyed despite the spice, Thibault, thanks for sharing your experience with it!

Anke - Feb. 9, 2022, 8:31 p.m.

Eggplant goes pretty Good with harissa pasta as well:)

PUL Team - Feb. 10, 2022, 12:36 a.m.

Mmm sounds lovely, Anke πŸ˜ƒ

Tsion Mideksa - Feb. 9, 2022, 3:59 p.m.

Loved this and will definitely be making it again!!!

Katie W. - Feb. 9, 2022, 4:57 a.m.

Loved this recipe! The lemon REALLY tops it off nicely and the pine nuts add such an incredible texture.
Changes I made:
-I used chickpeas rather than green peas (don’t love green peas). The chickpeas worked out great.
-used a whole lemon, instead of half.

Can’t wait to make it again!!

PUL Team - Feb. 9, 2022, 7:23 p.m.

Thanks for sharing the substitutions, Katie, sounds delightful!

AJ - Feb. 8, 2022, 11:28 p.m.

My family loved it!!
I'm a beginner at cooking so it was the perfect recipe to start off with. It was super easy to make and the outcome was amazing!!
Thanks so much!

PUL Team - Feb. 9, 2022, 2 a.m.

So thrilled the recipe was a success, AJ, and so honoured PUL recipes are part of the exciting cooking journey πŸ˜ƒ

Kelsey - Feb. 7, 2022, 11:50 p.m.

I was able to make this for the first time in under 20 minutes and it was SO delicious! I took leftovers to work and it was still incredible! It’s very budget friendly as well. I’m slowly transitioning into veganism and I love PUL for inspiration + the feel good videos and this recipe will definitely going to be a regular in the meal planning rotations!

PUL Team - Feb. 8, 2022, 10:48 p.m.

We appreciate the glowing review so much, Kelsey! Thank you for allowing PUL to be part of your journey with veganism and wishing you all the best on it πŸ’š

Kelly K - Feb. 7, 2022, 9:27 p.m.

Gonna be a staple for sure, love the diversity of flavours!!!

Krista - Feb. 7, 2022, 1:49 a.m.

Oh man, I tried this tonight and it came out SO good! It was my first time using/tasting harissa (my grocery store only had a green one) and I’m super into it. I used rice noodle linguini and coconut milk because that’s what I had on hand. This is definitely going to be a staple; thank you!!

PUL Team - Feb. 8, 2022, 7:04 p.m.

Woop woop! Thank you for sharing your experience with the pasta, Krista 🌻

Andrea M - Feb. 7, 2022, 12:30 a.m.

I made this dish for the first time tonight and it was delicious! Both my husband and I loved it! And there were enough leftovers for each of us to have for lunch tomorrow. The recipe was easy to follow and came together in about 20 minutes for us. We followed the recipe, except we didn't have peas so we just left them out and I added just a bit of cayenne because the only harrisa sauce I could find was mild in spice. Thank you so much for this recipe. It is going into the regular recipe rotation.

PUL Team - Feb. 8, 2022, 7:03 p.m.

So glad the pasta was enjoyed, Andrea, and love the modifications :D

Natasha - Feb. 6, 2022, 11:34 p.m.

Made this today. It might be my new favorite pasta recipe. Never thought of using harissa as a base for pasta sauce. Works so well. Highly recommended

PUL Team - Feb. 8, 2022, 6:57 p.m.

Such a huge compliment, Natasha, thank you!

Stephanie - Feb. 6, 2022, 1:42 p.m.

My entire family has loved this dish, including my 6 and 4 years-old sons. I have used mild harissa because they don't like spicy food. A huge success! We will make it again for sure!

PUL Team - Feb. 6, 2022, 9:16 p.m.

Beyond thrilled to hear, Stephanie, thanks a bunch πŸ˜ƒ

Don K. - Feb. 6, 2022, 5:31 a.m.

This recipe is great! We made it last week and plan to make it again next week. No substitutions when we had this. We weren’t sure how spicy harissa is so used half the harissa in the recipe but probably will go with the full amount next time. Highly recommend this one!

PUL Team - Feb. 6, 2022, 9:03 p.m.

We're so happy the pasta was enjoyed, Don! It means so much πŸ˜ƒ

Lisa P. - Feb. 5, 2022, 9:23 p.m.

Just made this and it was just perfect. Thank you so much!
Any idea where I can buy that pot from the first image, I just love the color!

PUL Team - Feb. 6, 2022, 8:51 p.m.

Hi Lisa! We got it from a local shop here in the Netherlands called Dille & Kamille. We hope this helps for now :)

TweeterV - Feb. 5, 2022, 8:46 p.m.

Oh this is nice - easy to make very tasty and just a little bit different

Irene - Feb. 4, 2022, 1:53 p.m.

I'm not vegan, not even vegetarian, but I love your recipes so much! This was the best pasta of my life. Thank you, Saadia, you're a genius. <3

PUL Team - Feb. 5, 2022, 6:32 a.m.

So happy to hear, Irene, thank you!

Steph - Feb. 2, 2022, 3:46 p.m.

So good! I made it last night and it was just so quick and simple, yet super creamy and the harissa gave it a little warmth to it as well. I'm definitely making this one again :)

PUL Team - Feb. 3, 2022, 4:53 a.m.

We appreciate it so much, Steph, thank you for the kind words!

Lydia - Feb. 1, 2022, 1:52 a.m.

Wow, this is excellent! So smoky and creamy, and I would eat the whole thing myself if it wasn’t so filling!
Rather than soy cream, I use the original unsweetened NutPods in cooking, and it worked a treat in this too.
This is definitely going in our meal rotation - thanks so much!

PUL Team - Feb. 1, 2022, 4:11 a.m.

It means so much that the pasta was enjoyed, Lydia, thank you 🌻

Rebecca - Jan. 31, 2022, 10:51 p.m.

Made this tonight and absolutely loved it! Perfect for a student as it's quick and easy to make, will definitely be having this again ❀

PUL Team - Feb. 1, 2022, 4:07 a.m.

So glad, Rebecca! Wishing you all the best with your studies πŸ˜ƒ

Sian - Jan. 31, 2022, 8:41 p.m.

So delicious!! I’ve made this twice in a week because my partner and I liked it so much, and because we usually have all the ingredients to hand!

PUL Team - Feb. 1, 2022, 4:04 a.m.

Woohoo! Thank you, Sian ✨

Christin - Jan. 31, 2022, 6:37 p.m.

This was so tasty! I used 2 tbsp harissa paste – it became quite spicy so I will just use 1 tbsp next time. And there will definately be a next time <3

PUL Team - Jan. 31, 2022, 8:07 p.m.

Thanks for sharing your experience with it, Christin, so glad the pasta was enjoyed!

Shruti - Jan. 31, 2022, 2:32 a.m.

Love this blog as well, so well organized and rich with information. Thank you PUL team!

Summer - Jan. 31, 2022, 2:11 a.m.

First time using harissa and this pasta is a GREAT introduction! Would love to see a video of how you create and workshop a new recipe! Thanks for all of the delicious recipes!

PUL Team - Jan. 31, 2022, 2:43 a.m.

So glad to hear, Summer, and thanks for the request! We've noted down the idea for future PUL content :D

Leo - Jan. 30, 2022, 10:24 p.m.

Hi Sadia!
I absolutely love your recipes and your channel. And that one looks delicous!
Question: You often use lemon or lime juice to boost the flavour of your dishes.
Do you have any idea how to create a similar effect without using citrus juice - since my partner is allergic to citrus fruits.
In some of your recipes (e.g. your fabulous pea & basil pesto <3) I've used apple cider vinegar.
I was wondering if maybe you had another idea to give pasta and curry dishes a little boost ;)
Thanks :)

PUL Team - Jan. 31, 2022, 2:17 a.m.

Hey Leo, thanks for the kind words and question! Some substitutes could include ground sumac, mango juice or mango juice concentrate, and vinegar. You could also opt to omit the citrus juice without a substitute and add other spices to taste if desired. We hope this helps for now πŸ˜ƒ

Leo - Jan. 31, 2022, 4:49 p.m.

Thanks :) That helps a lot. Mango juice sounds like a yummy choice for curries 😍
Can't wait to try all these options :-P

Leo - Feb. 19, 2022, 7:28 p.m.

That was awesome!
used a pinch of sumac and a splash of (sounds weird - but did the job perfectly xD) homemade raspberry vinegar
We absolutely loved it! 😍
Thanks again!

PUL Team - Feb. 19, 2022, 8:35 p.m.

Thanks for the update, Leo, we're so glad to hear!

Vani - Jan. 30, 2022, 9:28 p.m.

Hi Sadia! Thanks you for the amazing recipes that you post. Quick question – I have harissa 'paste' and not sauce and wondering how I should adjust accordingly? My husband and I are ok with medium levels of heat :) Thank you!!!

PUL Team - Jan. 31, 2022, 1:57 a.m.

Hey Vani! Usually, harissa sauce is harissa paste with added olive oil. You could start with a little less paste (such as 1/2 tbsp) and add more to taste for spice. You could also add a bit of neutral vegetable oil, such as refined olive oil that doesn't impart the olive oil taste, to thin out the paste if desired. We hope this helps for now 😊

Hrafnhildur - Jan. 30, 2022, 9:22 p.m.

Spicy, quick and super delicious β˜€οΈ

Griet - Jan. 30, 2022, 6:53 p.m.

Loved it! Simple, yet incredibly flavorful. Definitely a keeper!

Malissa Cavazos - Jan. 29, 2022, 10:37 p.m.

This is so flavorful and yummy! I used half of the Harissa because I can’t handle Spicy, and it was perfect for me!
Thank you for this wonderful recipe!

PUL Team - Jan. 30, 2022, 3:42 a.m.

A splendid idea, Malissa, thank you!

Natalie - Jan. 29, 2022, 4:58 p.m.

Love the 'challenge' videos! ❀️ And Robin made it more real life cooking ☺️ it was absolutely adorable. I too hate when pasta sticks to the potπŸ˜ƒ Maybe next challenge could have a color theme? Just a hint πŸ˜‰ Thank you for making the videos so enjoyable.

PUL Team - Jan. 29, 2022, 8:24 p.m.

Oh it means so much, Natalie, and thank you for the idea! We've noted it down for potential future content :)

zara - Jan. 29, 2022, 2:52 p.m.

this pasta is absolutely amazing - quick and so so delicious!! i used ordinary oat milk instead of the soy cream because i didn’t have any and it turned out so creamy and delicious - i’ll definitely be making this again!!

PUL Team - Jan. 29, 2022, 8:16 p.m.

A lovely substitution, Zara, we're so glad the pasta was enjoyed!

Sophie Laabmayr - Jan. 28, 2022, 6:35 p.m.

Made it for dinner tonight. Sooo good. Swaped the spinach for rucola because I had none in the house.

PUL Team - Jan. 28, 2022, 6:48 p.m.

We're so happy it was enjoyed, Sophie, and love the substitution!

Khushboo Babaria - Jan. 28, 2022, 12:33 a.m.

Amazing recipe as always! I couldn't help but notice all your serving dishes.. If you could please put them up in your Shop section! Especially the one you used in this video!! Thanks! :)

PUL Team - Jan. 28, 2022, 6:08 p.m.

Hi there, Khushboo, thanks for the question. A good number of our kitchen pottery is from thrift stores - always very unique finds there! Others were purchased from local Dutch shops, such as Dille & Kamille or local potters in neighbouring towns. One of the more common rustic ceramics you might be seeing are those we purchased from NomLiving πŸ™‚

Angeliki - Jan. 27, 2022, 4:33 p.m.

Hi,
The step five has an "add" too much (after "water") and the chopped paprika is missing. We tried it, quite spicy for young children, so it makes sense to reduce the harissa or skip it to make it suitable. In our case, our 7 year old son ate it with yoghurt, a nice way to reduce the heat !

PUL Team - Jan. 27, 2022, 8:34 p.m.

Hey there, Angeliki, thanks a bunch for the feedback! It's so appreciated to help us improve. We've updated step five of the instructions for clarity. Yoghurt is a lovely idea to balance it out for more sensitive taste buds as well😊

Angeliki - Jan. 27, 2022, 9:02 p.m.

I'm glad to help, it's my pleasure! These are small errors. I've seen recipes where you think they were not written by humans... Keep it up, love your ideas, especially as inspiration to try new things and improvise.
By the way, I need much more time than 20', but this is me (difficulty in slicing veggies, opening jars, grating ginger, crushing garlic, doing things parallel...). I'm looking for recipes that are easy, yield many servings (for 2-3 days), like soups, one pot recipes, that my origin, the Greek culture, has many to offer. These make every day life easier. Then, for special days, I'd cook something that needs lots of preparation and is eaten all on the same day. But only as an exception!

PUL Team - Jan. 28, 2022, 6:14 p.m.

Aw Angeliki, it means so much to receive the constructive feedback and kind words to help PUL grow! We'll note down a request for simpler recipes with many servings. In the meantime in case you haven't already seen and are interested, the filter feature on our recipe page may be helpful. For example, we have some one-pot recipes here: pickuplimes.com/recipe/?sb=&a…

Angeliki - Jan. 28, 2022, 8:50 p.m.

Thanks! Good to know!

Adelka - Jan. 26, 2022, 9:04 p.m.

Another absolutely divine recipe! Thank you :)

Emmy van Swaaij - Jan. 26, 2022, 7:29 p.m.

Every recipe I have tried from pickuplimes has been a succes! So yummy and healthy, I so appreciate your work! Thank you for your help in creating a healthy and tasty lifestyle!

PUL Team - Jan. 27, 2022, 7:26 p.m.

So thrilled to hear, Emmy van Swaaij, thank YOU for the glowing feedback!

Raelene - Jan. 26, 2022, 5:55 p.m.

My husband asked me to make something delicious for dinner tonight (cheeky!) and i had just seen Robin make this in the video. I had almost all the ingredients except harissa and paprika, so I substituted tahini and smoked paprika. It was exquisite ... and my husband said "this IS delicious"! I have to agree. We both had seconds! I have had no inclination to cook lately, and your recipes (and your charming vibe in your videos) have reminded me to take inspiration from you. Thank you so much Sadia and Robin. Fondly, Raelene (and Peter)

PUL Team - Jan. 27, 2022, 7:23 p.m.

Oh, dearest Raelene and Peter, this means so much! We're so happy the pasta was enjoyed and love the substitutions 😍

Charissa IJzendoorn - Jan. 25, 2022, 8:04 p.m.

Yummie!! It was so good!! I realy like the taste of the harissa. First time i tried harissa. It gives the recipe a special flavour!!

PUL Team - Jan. 27, 2022, 2:41 a.m.

How exciting! We're so glad it was enjoyed, Charissa 😊

Vanya - Jan. 24, 2022, 8:53 p.m.

Lovely recipe!

Judith - Jan. 24, 2022, 6:55 p.m.

I tried this today and loved it. I didn't have cooking cream though, but it also worked with oat milk. So delicious!

PUL Team - Jan. 26, 2022, 6:42 a.m.

Thanks for the insight, Judith, it means so much πŸ˜ƒ

eM - Jan. 24, 2022, 6:24 p.m.

This is soo good! Instead of harissa i added fresh chopped tomatoes with chilli :-) Love it.

PUL Team - Jan. 26, 2022, 6:41 a.m.

A lovely substitution, eM, thanks for sharing!

Joana DC - Jan. 23, 2022, 8:51 p.m.

Did this recipe today. Didn't have harissa but some pepper, chilli and cumin powder did the trick instead :) Used ramen noodles instead of linguine too. Creamy, quick, easy and full of flavor! 10/10 will cook again!

PUL Team - Jan. 25, 2022, 2:41 a.m.

Thank you for sharing your experience with it, Joana πŸ˜ƒ
