Cinnamon Spiced Pear & Pineapple Smoothie Boat


 I have yet to discover a fruit I don’t like. I love fruits… but pears least of all. 


With several pears starting to bruise and go soft, something needed to be done. 

To use up the pears in a way I would enjoy, I made a smoothie by combining it with two of my favourite fruits: banana and pineapple. 

This morning was a guilt-free lazy morning. I needed it. I’ve been picking up the intensity of my bicycling lately and decided I deserved a day’s rest. I didn’t want to make anything extravagant. My only criteria: quick and delicious.

Cinnamon Spiced Pear & Pineapple Smoothie Boat

▸ ▹ Vegan, raw, gluten-free, oil-free, soy-free, refined sugar-free, nut-free

Yield: 3-4 cups (2 servings)

Prep Time: 5 min 

Total Time: 5 min 



1 banana, frozen

1 pear, chopped

1/4 pineapple, chopped

1/2 cup (125mL) soy milk or other plant milk

1 tsp (5g) cinnamon



3 dates, pitted and chopped

2 tsp (10g) dried cranberries

2 tsp (10g) coconut flakes

2 tsp (10g) flax seeds

2 tsp (10g) chia seeds

1/2 pear, chopped

6 pecans



  1. Blend all smoothie ingredients until well combined.

  2. Pour into a bowl or hallowed pineapple (as pictured).

  3. Sprinkle on desired toppings and enjoy!
